Watch Will Alsop and John Marx talk about performative architecture live at World Architecture Festival 2017

Tune in to hear British architect Will Alsop and American architect John Marx in the first talk on on day two of World Architecture Festival 2017 in Berlin.

The livestream is now live. You can watch it above or on Dezeen’s Facebook page.

Alsop and Marx discuss performative architecture, design as street theatre and creating performance spaces as part of a public social ritual.

Alsop is the principal of London-based studio All Design, and has completed projects such as the Stirling Prize-winning Peckham Library in south east London and unveiled plans for an “unusual” skyscraper in Vauxhall, London. John Marx is the design principal of San Francisco based architecture firm Form 4 Architecture.

Dezeen is media partners for World Architecture Festival 2017, which this year takes place in Berlin in conjunction with the Inside festival of interior design.

We will be broadcasting a number of talks and seminars over the next few days from both events – including talks by Kim Cook and Pierre de Meuron – as well as conducting video interviews with the winners.

World Architecture Festival takes place from 15-17 November 2017 at Arena Berlin. Take a look at the full programme.
