At “Mix,” we have preserved the full canopy of trees surrounding the site, allowing them to become integral elements of the space. These majestic trees serve as living pillars, supporting fabric canopies that gently ripple in the breeze, providing shade and filtering light to create a serene and atmospheric environment. This project is not just about creative design but also about honoring and coexisting with nature. Rather than clearing the site, we meticulously adapted the architecture to embrace the existing trees.

Esca Cueva is an innovative restaurant design that redefines the dining experience. This project seeks to create a space that is intimately connected to nature, blurring the boundaries between architecture and organic forms. Taking its inspiration from the intricate beauty of the female body, Cueva translates our organic form and its curves into a rationalized design that fosters a unique and inviting space. Creating an environment that reflects the body’s complex elegance while prioritizing comfort and practicality for its inhabitants. The final design achieved a holistic effect, seamlessly blending and transforming the restaurant’s previously rigid Cartesian layout. This sculpted space blurs the lines between the user and their surroundings. Organic forms throughout the design evoke a sense of visual peace with depressions, creases, and strategically placed artificial lighting.

Under The Neem Tree Restaurant / Hiren Patel Architects

Amidst the changing landscape of Ahmedabad, now transitioning to a concrete jungle, a timeless respite under the scorching sun, Under The Neem Tree beckons the soul. Designed as a one-of-a-kind restaurant, this project is conceptualized by Hiren Patel Architects. It stands true to the local Ahmedabadi style, responding to the climate, culture, and context with its unique flair. Sprawling over 6750 sqft across a single storey, this space weaves its narrative through its interconnectedness and materiality. Each turn along the path makes for a view to pause and behold before proceeding into the heart of this space. Right at the entrance, a serene water body, reminiscent of the step-wells, welcomes you inside. Flanked on either side by covered pathways, it feels like walking into the veranda of an Ahmedabadi pol house.

“Capturing the Warmth of the Time” : A cozy atmosphere that provides calmness to all, wherein a delicious meal and joyous conversation deliver happiness and comfort deeper than ever before. Such memories remain in our hearts with lingering warmth and present a long-lasting impression. The Korean restaurant “DEOKBOON” is a place filled with such warmth. Located on the first floor of Mondrian Seoul Itaewon, “DEOKBOON” is designed with a concept of a flow, composed of introduction, development, climax, conclusion, and aftertaste, and provides a special experience for every stage of the flow. The restaurant features a changing sequence the visitors can experience depending on the various stages of the flow, from the entrance to passing through all the stages and to the exit.

This project is located at the beginning of Sattar Khan Street and near Tohid square, the old building of this project is about 40 years ago. After accurate examining and detailed analysis of the building conditions, we faced some important drawbacks; for example, one center line of metal column started from the main facade of the store completely and passed through the middle of the store, and as a result, all the ideas about the design affected the facade negatively and the interior plan of the restaurant.

STUDIO SHOO, a design and architectural bureau, was assigned to create and implement the interior design of the restaurant and terrace in accordance with the Courtyard by Marriott’s new concept.
