Located at the center of China, Xi’an has been the capital of multiple dynasties for over 1,000 years and formed a profound cultural system. The dry ski center is located on Luxes’Island, the center of the 160 ha artificial lake in the Luxelakes Water City scenic area. The island has created diversified space experience for parent-child activities through customized buildings and landscape design. These experimental buildings have become special scenes on the island. Commissioned by the owner, a 20-meter-wide primary slope and a 30-meter-wide intermediate slope are arranged on the natural terrain for junior skiers.
As a shared open activity space is necessitated by a two kids’ family, we adopted the geometric language with the wood color in design to create an interesting living world for the kids.

Jo Lalli Resort Hotel is located in a beautiful wooded mountainous area of Moganshan, near the small town Deqing, close to Hangzhou and not far from Shanghai. This area with its, unspoilt nature with mountains, lakes and waterfalls has traditionally been a popular destination for visitors from all over China and has a long history of being a more temperate summer vacation retreat for the population of Shanghai since the 1880s. This tradition has recently been revived and now there are a number of popular resorts taking advantage of the clear air and unspoiled natural environment.
In February this year, The Youkong Living Room designed by Wutopia for Vanke Midwest finished its construction in Chengdu’s Go Mall. After a 20-year development of real estate, almost every Chinese citizen now lives in “Xiao Qu”, the Chinese name for closed residential district. With highly similar space layouts, “Xiao Qu” creates nearly zero communal space for residents that it’s hard to create a community in such circumstance.
The Origin Villa was commissioned to dismantle six buildings in a rural “empty nest” village in Tonglu, and to rebuild as a new retreat village.
The Garden Island of Hi-coffice was reconstructed from Chengdu Garden Hotel. After thoroughly exploiting the past and present of the garden in the hotel, the design aims to retain its original characteristics without disrupting the traces of its evolution over years by applying strategies of modification rather than demolishment.
The site is in the middle of Maqiao Qizhong Plate in Shanghai, where holds up a qualified living environment.The site is located at East side of the Yaque River, which is connected to Zhongxiu Road with a modern landscape bridge. The demonstration district references the idea of the middle axis symmetry and harmony of Chinese traditional architectural theory—the axis runs through the central landscape of the sales office and the two plots (A plot and B plot).
Within a limited space and budget, it is a challenge but still interesting for the architect to improve three member family’s life quality to the fullest potential. The house, located near Huaihai Road, one of the most prosperous shopping district in Shanghai, is at ground level of an old-fashioned three-story apartment built in the 1920s.The architect has spent nearly 10 months to renovate the house, turning it into a modern LOFT.
