The school complex is situated in the small village of Viessoix in the hills of the Normandy region of western France. The new project was intended to replace and combine into a single entity a number of outdated schools located in adjacent villages.
Malmö Sports School is situated in the stadium area in Malmö. It is a school with a sports profile, home to 540 pupils, grades 7-9. It offers 12 different sports integrated with the school’s curriculum. It is a collaboration between the city and some of the leading sports clubs in Malmö and it enables the pupils to focus on their sport of choice as well as their academic work. This seems to be an excellent arrangement and the school is ranked as number one in Malmö and attracts pupils from different backgrounds from all over the city as well as other areas and towns outside the municipality.
The Browns Point neighborhood is a place where the birth of modern-day Tacoma was witnessed from across the waters of Commencement Bay. Here, familial roots run deep; many residents return to raise children in the same small-town environment in which they were reared. At the base of the bluff, the Browns Point lighthouse serves as an unofficial symbol of the waterfront community. Rich cultural and educational opportunities are held in high esteem, and athletics play a strong role in community life.
A school is a place where children spend a lot of time, which is why it should form a creative atmosphere and the desire for ambitious achievements in the younger generation.
The Domino inserts itself in a distended suburban area, at the entrance of Challans in Vendée. The urban composition of the project is defined by the context. The project is oriented in a way to reveal the city’s entrance, the documents, and the great landscape. It is a project of a recapture of daily architecture.
The gelateria had been open in Odessa for a couple of weeks and it was closed and the windows were boarded up. We didn’t know for a long time if it would ever reopen. “ТАЮ” translates from Ukrainian as “I’m melting,” and the menu only includes ice cream and juices. We were looking for a simple solution, simple materials, and one clear idea that would create and unite the whole interior.
The owner of the house was brought up in Athens in a small 60sqm city apartment. He used to spend his summer holidays in Cyprus where his mother is from. His memories of his grandparents’ traditional stone home were a big inspiration to how he wanted his family home to be but in a new, contemporary way.
Result of the Campus Plan – an exceptional financing scheme created in 2008 for redeveloping and upgrading the built facilities of French Universities- the project consists of two buildings accommodating most of the teaching facilities of the University of Montpellier 2.
The historic Pinckney Neighborhood is a comfortable older neighborhood well-connected to the heart of Lawrence, Kansas. It is a short walk to the Kansas River and its parks as well as the cultural vibrancy of downtown. It is also close to the University of Kansas campus and a nearby bus stop which expands the possibilities of travel to the rest of Lawrence.
