This project is to renovate a villa which has first basement and four floors and loft above ground. In the existing state, the staircase and the elevator were fixed in the corner, and the vertical relationship was completely separated. Therefore, we aimed to strength the relationship between the upper and lower floors, that is, the relationship of the family spent here.
Soochow University was founded in 1900 by the Protestant Council of Supervisors. Law School of Soochow University was founded after the Law Department founding in 1915. Then in 2000, Kenneth Wang, who graduated from the Law School and used to teach here, returned to his Alma mater Soochow University. His son Charles Wang donated to support the reconstruction of the Law School and organized an architectural design competition for the law School projec, which was only open to Chinese architects. t. Feng Zhenggong, nowthe National Master of Survey and Design, led the team and won the first prize with the theme of “Greeting a Century-old Campus, Blending into a thousand-year-old city”.
The project sits in a relatively discrete downland in the cul-de-sac of Tianhe Software Park, Guangzhou, hemmed in this horseshoe-shaped massif with a beautiful natural landscape, fronting a lake and set against the hill. Variation in topographic height being significant, the construction land is narrow and irregularly shaped. Building height is set under 20 meters, as required by urban planning, with a respect for circumferential hilly mass. Interestingly, the design team was involved in urban-planning this area years ago and determining the height limit, which now challenges them as an architectural constraint.
The FF new office space is a “resort-style” office space created by designers for office workers. It is intended to weaken the stereotype of the original office space through humanizing the space itself. In order to make it easier for everyone to find the entrance, light columns are set up at the elevator entrance. When the white electric sliding door opens, a minimalist-designed logo and a white box floated on the water will be seen.
Background
Yulin Gaoxin No.3 Primary School is located in National High Tech Industrial Development Zone of Yulin City. Since the development of the city brings a huge demand for educational resources, the local government intends to stimulate community vitality, attract residents to settle down and promote the development of Hi-tech zone through the project.
Design Background
Before the 1990s, northeast China had the largest urban population in China, and since then the area has formed its own urban culture much earlier than other areas. Factories not only construct the daily life of the people living there, but also construct the culture. The design of factory renovation should first begin with the iteration revolution of industries, and to talk about the birth of Red Plum Culture and Creative Park, we need to first talk about the city. Tie’xi district is located in the west side of Chang-Da railway, where the east and west railways intersect and so do the south and north ones. The closed quadrangle formed by that is Tie’xi district in Shenyang. Red Plum MSG factory, with 13 industrial plants, was one of the many factories in Tie’xi, and its history goes back to 1939. Its different architectural styles together with early building as main plant have recorded the historic values transforming from a factory to a culture and creative park.
Hyperlane is a 2.4km multi-level linear sky park, youth culture and lifestyle destination at the heart of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music University in Chengdu. It establishes a vibrant and fun youth, music and life orientated linear space, linking the local transportation hub with the university community and campus in Chengdu. The Urban Gallery, the Initial phase of the project has recently opened. Hyperlane is invested, built, and operated by the core team that once operated Chengdu Taikoo Li project. The overall planning and design intents to create high standards and high-quality design.60% of the commercial products is self-sustaining, adheres to the long-term business philosophy, provides professional support, and realizes long-term commercial value.
When children learn in a classroom, they greatly benefit from rich educational content. However, their day-to-day living spaces often remain repetitive and stereotyped. To address this issue, we avoid the use of static connotations such as “this is a big tree”, “this is a small house”, “this is a small castle”, and rather make use of basic geometric relation that create chaotic, irregular, non-straightforward visuals, prompting children to think about the environment where they live every day and understand it according to their own imagination.
Guangfa Securities Headquarters is a 308-meter tall super high rise office tower located in the Zhujiang New Town district of Guangzhou, China. The landmark building is set on a landscaped public plaza that serves as a new financial campus in the neighborhood. By rotating the building off the urban grid and tapering the facade, the tower design distinguishes itself from the surroundings while creating a secluded gathering area at the base. The tower orientation is set perpendicular to the more centrally located Canton Tower, creating an important visual connection that links Zhujiang New Town with Guangzhou CBD.
Combined with the pure white tone, the design integrated a loft-style layout into the maisonette. It built up a light and warm daily life for the family of four.
