Waterfall House / V+studio

April 13, 2020 Hana Abdel 0

Watterfall- House is located in a new urban area in Hai Duong city. The front of the house is inspired by the water flowing from the top, weaving through each stone, bushes. The work brings a new breeze, a cool stream of water to the surrounding neighborhood with houses with spontaneous architecture, following trails and repeating. The homeowners are young people, they desire a simple, unobtrusive, gaudy home. A cool house, close to nature. Where they are themselves, away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Every moment at home is the quietest moment, a place of peace and regain energy after stressful working hours. When approaching the project, with a not very large area.

House at Serpong / Atelier Riri

Living in a tropical climate like Indonesia brings a lot of perks for residential design, especially the high sun exposure and rainfall each year. Located in the typical suburban Jakarta provides the opportunity to respond towards the practicality of the tenant’s needs as well as the sustainable aspect of the environment. Especially the fact that most suburbans are well educated professionals and executives. The site is 437m2 located in a hook facing a public park on the west side, while the side facade is facing the south direction. To answer the challenge of a bright and warm sunlight in the evening, we came up with two approaches.

House No. 47 / DRTAN LM Architect

April 11, 2020 Hana Abdel 0

House No. 47 is located in an established leafy suburb of Kuala Lumpur. The brief was to design a modern tropical house for a two generation family who treasure togetherness, privacy, security and ease of maintenance above anything else. The “C” shaped floor plan incorporated a covered but well ventilated central courtyard with sliding glass walls that enabled the residents to use the private courtyard space throughout the day and night, and in any weather condition.

The Nắng Suites / o9 Design Studio

April 10, 2020 Hana Abdel 0

The Nắng Suites are located near the seafront of the coastal city of Da Nang, 500m away from My Khe beach. The philosophy of The Nắng encourages communality as opposed to anonymity. Designed to meet the needs of both short and long-term guests, it is important that a sense of homeliness is fostered, no matter the duration of the stay. Working within the spatial planning constraints, a vertical void through the heart of the building creates internal open space in a neighborhood characterized by narrow, tightly packed tube houses.

IH Residence / andramatin

April 10, 2020 Hana Abdel 0

The IH Residence is located in Bandung, a town with a cool and crisp climate. This project came from a family with a large size of land (approximately 5600 m2), that wants to be turned into a family residence. The house would have quite an abundant amount of functions, but would still retain the vastness of the landscape. It was built in a neighborhood with low density, thus making it very possible to create a detached-house for the family.

Kowa Public Apartment Complex in Mihama / studio velocity

April 10, 2020 Hana Abdel 0

This project is about rebuilding a housing complex in Mihama, a town situated on the seaside on the southern tip of a peninsula in Aichi prefecture. Housing complexes construction began in the 1950s facing many problems such as aging, a decrease in the number of households, structural decline, etc. The existing complex housing is no exception, therefore it was decided to tear down some of the unusable two-storey-PC-buildings. On this rebuilding, we decided to create place which is friendly environment for family with children and old people as well instead of reducing number of house.

Milk Carton House / Tenhachi Architect & Interior Design

April 9, 2020 Hana Abdel 0

This is a house for a young couple who have just married. I (architect)am a childhood friend of wife and a member of husband’s lab in graduate school. I am very glad to design their house, and would like to make the house very comfortable for their new marriage life.  The site has narrow property, only 43 square meters. A convenient commute into the city was their top priority, the house is located at a quiet residential area in the center of Tokyo district Japan. The house volume is maximum size which is subjected to height restrictions by Japanese architectural regulation. As a result, its owns only three-and-a-half-meter-wide, and flanked on either side by existing residential buildings.
