Located in the eastern quays of Amsterdam, the striking 19th-century warehouse of the Geschutswerf sets the scene for this residential transformation. The apartment has been re-designed to meticulously embed within the renovated historic structure, embracing the robust, industrial nature of the state monument.
The Mobility Hub at Eandistip in Mechelen demonstrates a new vision for parking infrastructure. The circular structure offers parking space for cars and bikes, as well as public rooftop terraces, box-in-box offices, and a local supermarket. The structure also anticipates a shift towards shared and self-driving cars, with compact parking configurations that free up space for additional functions. As part of a larger urban development, the Mobility Hub aims to become a dynamic transition zone, sustaining a smooth traffic flow between the city center and the periphery.
The clearly defined rectangular contour parallel to Karlsbader Straße creates an ordering structure in the urban environment. The scale and shape of the building correspond to its overall importance. The chosen courtyard type is adapted to the slope of the terrain and exaggerates it in its silhouette to an emblematic type.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away! – Once again studiomateriality blurs the line between work and fun by turning a pediatrician’s office into a landscape of color that won’t be ignored and everyone is invited! Studiomateriality created a playful setting of color for children with a Memphis touch, where color is a strong element of surprise, suggesting the different spaces.
‘S.M.A.R.T.’ Campus Combines Three Schools on One Site – The Agnews campus seamlessly integrates separate elementary, middle, and high schools on a single 55-acre site, which was once home to a historic mental health facility. The three schools share a common architectural language while maintaining individual identities through color, scale, and landscape. Proximity and shared-use spaces encourage staff and student peer mentoring and a sequenced curriculum.

Taking inspiration from Patrick Modiano’s novel “In the Café of Lost Youth” (Dans le café de la jeunesse perdue), we endeavor to craft a structure that acts as a repository for the proprietor’s bygone years—a repository for a youth that once wandered aimlessly. Nestled within a block of townhouses, erected some two decades ago, the apartment now wears the marks of time, presenting a formidable challenge to the design team, who must tread lightly due to the potential repercussions on the adjoining units.
At Følle Strand, Jesper Kusk Architects designed a tiny summer house measuring 46 optimized square meters. This project is inspired by the characteristic and historical fisherman’s houses of the area, aiming to create a downscaled and well-adapted built environment, where three small building volumes stand side by side, overlooking the bay of Kalø.
It is one of the first restaurants of its kind in Athens since IT set out to redefine the concept of fast food and offer it nutritious and healthy, with handmade preparations and the freshest ingredients since 2004. The company started from a small shop in the city center and opened its first comfort restaurant – a milestone in its successful career – in 2013 in Kolonaki. Ten years later, it took another important step by adding another store to its family, this time in the northern suburbs of the city.

The porous texture and the old central courtyard of the city of Hamedan have been replaced by the Infill system dictated by the master plan in about fifty years which the yard It is not a central issue; reusing the yard as an organizing principle has always been a challenge for a number of Iranian architects. In southern houses, especially in small plots of land, the yard mainly has only the role of capturing light and has lost its livability. This was our main issue for thinking about this project, and the central issue of this project started like this: how to make the yard, once again, one of the active living spaces in these types of houses?
