Drawing inspiration from the Halo Effect, this project takes the form of a faceted, textural “iceberg” from the outside, and a protected yet lofty refuge internally. Halo House acts as a provider and protector for its inhabitants, granting a young family with a sanctum in which to grow and thrive.

The shape of this project arises from the section, because it was born from the idea that, even that the house is develops on two floors, it is understood and perceived spatially as a whole. A large roof with different inclinations is responsible for connecting and giving continuity to both levels by building a spatial continuum.

LILY, a floating structure, which offers a new playful and sensorial experience, on the central lake of the Futuroscope. Made up of five giant buoys moored to a deck of 40m diameter, the installation is aimed at a wide audience, offering several ideas of use. The deck is a soothing walk, which invites to contemplate the large white volumes in their relationship with the water.The buoys which host trampolines, are fun spots for those who want to jump or resting places for those who just dream of lying in the sun. You can stroll, take a walk, venture on the mesh bridges to reach the trampolines, jump and bounce constantly …

Shaila Patel House / Groundwork Architecture

Shaila Patel House is built on a plot area of 2263 m2.  The brief was to design a house with a possibility where three generations could live together as one unit, while also allowing independent domains for each. Therefore, the core design focus was to create an interesting interplay of private spaces with that of the living spaces which would permit one part of the family to have privacy, while the other part of the family would be actively using the living spaces.
