The glasshouse contains a small captive forest. Through various mechanical systems, it generates an artificial environment conditioned to recreate a fragment of tropical forest at a different latitude. Its inhabitants are a variety of plants, ferns, palm trees, orchids, mosses, small trees, and some insects that have found their new habitat in this controlled atmosphere.

Shopping is an integral part of the street. Improving the vitality, comfort, and safety of the public space was done by fostering occupancy of closed shops and emphasizing relationships through the shop windows. That was the task developed on the street in the project, Good morning, Carme! (Olot, 2021). In a single year, 1000 m² of shops were opened and 120 m of façade were redesigned in a single square in the old town.

The development of the project for this single-family home in the Golf de Las Condes neighborhood was a great challenge due to the difficult shape of the lot, with a front of just over 5 meters and an irregular L-shaped geometry that widened towards the rear. The location of the house had to be arranged making the most of the spaces, meeting the need for parking and trying to leave a more private garden area, separated from the access.

The main objective for the development of this home for its 4 members was to find the continuous relationship of the spaces with the exterior, making the forest surrounding the project the main player and attraction. Therefore, there are overtures in the volumes accompanied by floor-to-ceiling stained-glass windows, allowing the connection and mimic with nature.

The project involved relocating Romea’s head branch, a recognized wine love mark in Guadalajara, to a property with environmental artistic value surrounded by some buildings from the early and mid-20th century. An important guideline of the project was to design the easement area of ​​the plot with a light structure that is reminiscent of verandas found in houses of that time while remaining friendly to pedestrians.
