Located in a Buenos Aires standard land plot with a width of 8.66 meters, the building is divided into two masses revolving around a patio of maximum achievable dimensions, which gives all its units the benefits of a generous amount of lighting and cross ventilation.
After the economic crisis that was unleashed during the pandemic, which caused changes in individual economic structures, the opportunity to develop a project of industrial warehouses in an area of development of this type of infrastructure comes to the office of Circuito.
Graphics, even before language and writing, were the first means of communication and significance for humanity. Drawing is the act of replacing reality with representation, that is, replacing objects with images encoded in each of the graphic representation systems.
This project rises from the opportunity of recycling an old existing courtyard house from the early 20th century. The new program of offices, installed in the existing house, keeps most of its spatial conditions, looking forward to getting back its essence. It has been considered the recovery and maintenance of the façade, looking forward to valuing its heritage, which is characteristic of the neighborhood.
Ilalò, the sacred mountain. This project invites us to reflect on the land, understand the place where it is located, and formulate hypotheses on how architecture should be accomplished in an Andean terrain. The initial question was: how should the constructions be realized on the sacred mountain of Ilaló? We understand that the intervention must be as respectful as possible, understanding its rurality, recognizing its fragility; the slopes of the mountain must be considered, the materials must have a language with the environment, human waste must be considered, and therefore treated. The project is in a small canyon between two arms on the slope of Ilaló, the land adjoins a creek, so you can access this hidden treasure, guardian of the essence of the mountain.
A ground floor building is accessed through a porch, an extension of two rows of existing trees that are preserved. It is a unitary volume of 22×51 meters aligned with the existing pedestrian walkway that joins the various surrounding school facilities.
Prosthesis. Caffe del Popolo is one of those experiments that arise in spaces that are often understood as unusable or obsolete in the city. The project was carried out in a triangular void between two blocks of apartments in the Nueva Córdoba neighborhood. A perception of compression by its context triggered the initial exploration for the design of this enclosure, which from the beginning was conceived as an object capable of fitting into the void, as an “urban prosthesis”. The project proposes a way to enter a dense urban environment and to generate action from it towards the city.

Damian is found within the Arts District of Los Angeles, California. This zone currently holds an outstanding number of repurposed industrial warehouses, which have brought new businesses, such as art galleries, workshops, restaurants, and coffee shops, preserving the neighborhood’s essence; having become a hot spot for the culinary culture, filled with art on every corner, displaying buildings with beautiful brick walls, as well as factories and warehouses built at the beginning of the 20th century.
This project consists of a large-scale expansion of the FGC Operations Centre’s workshop unit and the main building in Rubí, with three main purposes: to cover the old dynamic test track for storage and turn it into a museum of various historical units; to provide it with a new façade and image towards the access street to the Centre, giving great privacy to the nearest suburban nucleus’ houses; to act as an exhibitor of the historical units towards the car park and the access to the Centre’s offices.
