Yamanone no ie House / FUDO

The house is located at the bottom of a mountain. The site has a narrow frontage and a wide back(trapezoid shape). To design a house on such a unique site, we carefully surveyed the nature and surroundings. We then, chose a shape as if it was carved from the terrain. The house is designed to snuggle up to the surrounding mountains, providing air, light, and water passages.

Water Garden House / Wallflower Architecture + Design

A property owned for 30 years, the tired old house was to make way for a new one that maximized the allowable built envelope, while addressing new needs and wants. Among them was a desire to have a waterfall feature in the design, and a need for privacy from the many neighbors. The site is perfectly circular when seen from the top, and unique in Singapore. This circle bounds a site that is in the middle of a steep valley.

Our master plan retains the industrial character and large floor plates of the one and two-story base while utilizing available FAR to create a mid-rise, side-core office tower featuring high ceilings, large spans, and unimpeded views of the neighborhood and Manhattan beyond.

Pavilion for the Kingdom of Bahrain Expo 2020 Dubai / Christian Kerez

The pavilion in Dubai consists of a hall with a floorplan area of ​​900 m2 and a height of about 23 m. Columns and beams ordinarily articulate architectural space horizontally and vertically, but here the columns spread out unfathomably in all directions. They penetrate walls and ceilings and end outside the building. The placement of the windows and the window reveals in the thin perimeter planes is a pure consequence of the geometrical arrangement of the columns.
