No. 91 Beiluoguxiang Siheyuan Renovation / Jiejie Studio

Unconventional Siheyuan. The project is located at No. 91 Beiluoguxiang, Beijing, with an area of about 1,400 square meters. The client is BeijingYIxizhidi Hotel. The site is a traditional but unconventional courtyard house, Siheyuan. It is the traditional two-tier courtyards in the central area of Beijing. The site is regular, and the surrounding buildings are also courtyard buildings. The unconventional part is that the site has a large underground space now, and a patio is lower level in the second courtyard, forming a special space with a unique double-height patio. The owner expects to transform this site into a space with a restaurant, afternoon tea, and homestay.

Caritas Innovation and Quality-of-Life Social Center / TEKTUM

During the planning and execution process, our goals were the following: creating a functional building that satisfies all expectations; the building’s effect on people should positively serve the institution; by building this house the city will gain an urban, contemporary building; to sustain the investment with realistic, feasible cost-effective solutions. To achieve these goals we kept the existing building, rebuilt and extended it (thus hoping to keep Sütő András`s memory alive in the house). It was important for us to build in the neighbour partition walls.

Saint-Roch YMCA Community Center / STGM Architectes + CCM2 Architectes

The project includes the creation of a community center and office rental space. The first 3 levels as well as 2 basement levels for the community center and above, rental office spaces on 2 levels (base building) for a total of 9 600m2. The community center portion includes a common hall, 5-lane swimming pool, double gymnasium, running track, and training room. The community center is multi-purpose and divisible spaces for community and sports use, community kitchen, landing, administrative offices, youth-seniors room, meeting rooms, and technical rooms.
