Renovated from the ground of Nguyen Van Huyen primary school, The Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) occupies an area of 2.127sqm, of which the construction area is 1800 sqm. The site is designed to house infrastructures for the National Program for the Development of Mathematics (2010-2030); with customised space to host international, cross-discipline exchanges.
As the name suggests – a small site measuring 7 x 17m sandwiched between two existing houses (Tamil nandu housing board of yester years built these twin houses to promote the neighborhood) is to be developed as a private residence.
The entire design is focused on the optimization of the breeding process and accommodation for the pigs, all the while taking into account both human and animal scales.

Ilalò, the sacred mountain. This project invites us to reflect on the land, understand the place where it is located, and formulate hypotheses on how architecture should be accomplished in an Andean terrain. The initial question was: how should the constructions be realized on the sacred mountain of Ilaló? We understand that the intervention must be as respectful as possible, understanding its rurality, recognizing its fragility; the slopes of the mountain must be considered, the materials must have a language with the environment, human waste must be considered, and therefore treated. The project is in a small canyon between two arms on the slope of Ilaló, the land adjoins a creek, so you can access this hidden treasure, guardian of the essence of the mountain.
The minimalist mood can be effectively communicated through a stark and sharp aesthetic that makes a bold impact, or can be more gently conveyed through a soothing natural setting that settles the soul. This weekend house located near São Paulo, was designed for a couple with two small children. Situated in a gated community, the ground had a sloped topography towards the street, facing east, which defined the deployment in a “T” shape form, with the pool right in the center, for widening the views to the valley ahead. Distributed in 3 distinct areas, the program includes 6 bedrooms, a social area with integrated spaces, and functional premises, which contain the garage and service facilities. As requested by the clients, the house should be single-footed, which defined its alignment towards the length, being trespassed by the living area volume, with higher ceilings.
