Sketch Architects have recently complete completed a new build flatted development in East Dulwich, London. The scheme involved the demolition of an existing single dwelling of poor quality and the construction of a new property containing three independent flats.
The solitary house blends in with the surroundings, lacking neighbouring buildings, away from roads. Harsh landscape prompted Przemek Olczyk, an architect and the author of the project, to use transparent and legible tectonics, thus embedding the building in the morphology of the plot.

Located in Hyllie/Svågertorp, HUBHULT plays an important part in the ongoing development of the area. With its sudden profile and precise proportions, HUBHULT contributes and sets the standard to the surrounding area with ambition in both building quality as well as respect for the location between the unspoiled landscape and the newest part of Malmö City.
The large terrain with privileged views allowed the residence to be developed on a single floor. Only the master bedroom swings over the slope toward the adjacent lake. The façade for the street is composed of low horizontal volumes, accommodated according to the shape of the terrain. The large side of the rooms block is lined with a cumaru muxarabi that filters the light while ensuring privacy.

Our clients for this northwest facing residence, in Delhi, are members of 3 generation joint family. Built on a narrow 326 sqm. plot, their home faces a busy city road in a dense precinct. The design reconciles the acute lack of visual privacy on the site with their desire for an open, light-filled and convivial home that brings together their family and their friends.
