Sidiz Flagship Store / Betwin Space Design

October 21, 2022 Bianca Valentina Roșescu 0

Brands use space-like media to convey their philosophy to consumers. However, as flagship stores are popping up like mushrooms, it is common for the space to be filled with splendid productions and eye-catchers rather than containing the brand’s vision and identity. On the other hand, SIDIZ’s flagship store attracts attention by faithfully capturing the essence and direction of its pursuit based on a solid brand philosophy.

Lyon Part-Dieu Urban Shopping Center / MVRDV

October 20, 2022 Paula Pintos 0

MVRDV has completed the transformation of the La Part-Dieu urban shopping center in Lyon, France. The project has transformed the original building from the 1970s, “re-socializing” the shopping center and transforming Lyon’s city center. While sustainably reusing a significant amount of the existing building’s materials, the design rearranges internal programs, adds more space, replaces a redundant car park, inserts large windows, refreshes the characteristic old concrete façade, and adds an expansive rooftop park connected to the city by monumental stairs. With this extensive transformation, a building that was once an obstruction to Lyon’s vitality is poised to begin a new chapter as a vibrant city center attraction.

GRANHAND Store / Studio Motif

October 17, 2022 Bianca Valentina Roșescu 0

GRANHAND is a fragrance brand that pursues comfort in daily life and studies related scents and products under the motto of “Daily fragrance”. Some say the perfumer composes fragrance as a composer builds a note. Deciding which material to choose and how to arrange resembles space design. The first word from GRANHAND was about the material, and the material was wood. Many terms are related to wood, in the language used in perfume.  In the space where the wood was planned to be used we researched the wood’s various textures and the method of expression.

Jacquemus Store Galeries Lafayette Haussman / AMO

October 10, 2022 Paula Pintos 0

The design of the Jacquemus boutiques in London and Paris began with the idea of testing the limits of working with a single material. Drawing from the brand’s origins in the south of France, AMO aimed to capture the atmosphere of Jacquemus’ native Provence through the materiality of the spaces. Instead of working with form and deciding on the materials afterward, the materials were chosen at the outset, guiding the shape of the space through the design process.

SVRN Store Chicago / WGNB

The spatial design of the SVRN store began with our interpretation of the SVRN’s brand identity and narrative through the eastern perspective.  While the western perspective looks at the object itself, the eastern perspective rather focuses on the surrounding relationship of the object.

IOKO Store / alan prekop

Showroom for Independent optic experts. The main task wasn’t to create a classic optic store but to create space for independent design. The architecture of the interior refers to the materials from which the products are made. Since these are glasses that are made by hand from natural materials such as cotton acetate, architect Alan Prekop also used natural materials in the showroom.
