Wind Fence 2 / Hyunjoon Yoo + Partners

Wind Fence 2 is the extension of the existing Wind Fence project. To begin with the existing Wind Fence, it stands firmly at the edge between the land and the sea on the east coast of Busan. Making the building stand out when glancing at it from the waterfront was significant and the main purpose of this building was to attract various programs such as cafes, restaurants, and shops selling small crafts.

Suupaa Restaurant and Convenience Store / IF Architecture

April 26, 2026 Valeria Silva 0

Enigmatic and eclectic, Suupaa is a first-of-its-kind, hospitality concept for a hybrid fast-casual Japanese restaurant and konbini convenience store. Acknowledging the cultural significance of ‘konbinis’ in Japan, the design for the venue extrapolates key aspects of the familiar typology into the modern fit-out, bringing forward ideas of utilitarian materials, fastidious organisation, efficiency, and innovation.

floating kiosk / bufen atelier

April 25, 2026 韩爽 - HAN Shuang 0

Conceived as a temporary intervention within a context devoid of strong spatial references, the project presents itself as an enigmatic, almost extraterrestrial presence—an object whose origin appears indeterminate, as if it had descended abruptly into the urban fabric.

Shell Book Pavilion / LUO studio

Origin: A Response to a Familiar Place — Xiangyun Town is not an unfamiliar place. Since it is close by, there were many occasions in the past to come here with my child. The earliest impressions of the place were, on the one hand, the many art installations in its public plaza areas, and on the other hand, its friendliness toward children and the community, with spaces for play and pause. Therefore, being invited this time to design and build a community book pavilion in the plaza felt more like returning to a place once encountered in everyday life and responding once again to the question of what kind of public space is truly needed here.

Polène Flagship Store / NORM Architects

April 13, 2026 Andreas Luco 0

Set along Via Manzoni in the heart of Milan, the new flagship store for Polène unfolds as a considered spatial narrative that invites visitors to move not only through a retail environment, but through a sequence of atmospheres shaped by material, light, and rhythm. Inspired by Milanese interiors, the project draws on the tradition of enfilade spaces and the city’s rich material palette to create a layered and immersive experience. Conceived as an architectural interpretation of the brand’s essence, the design translates Polène’s dedication to craftsmanship, natural sensibility, and sculptural form into a refined spatial language. Drawing from Milan’s distinctive architectural character – where restrained façades often conceal richly articulated interiors – the new Polène store reveals itself gradually. Beyond its calm exterior, a series of rooms aligned in enfilade, inspired by traditional Milanese interiors, establishes a clear visual axis, guiding the body intuitively through space while allowing moments of pause and discovery along the way. Each threshold frames the next, creating a layered progression where perspective, proportion, and materiality work in harmony.

The interior of Auga, an optical salon with specialist consulting rooms, was inspired by the process of seeing – a complex and precise biological mechanism. The shape of the space echoes the natural form of the eye, and elements within the interior reflect its internal anatomy. The color palette, shapes, and materials draw from the physiology of vision, creating a coherent visual narrative.

Poetry Anthology of Light / P.M.A.Studio

March 16, 2026 韩爽 - HAN Shuang 0

This project involved the reconstruction of a dilapidated building located in Guangzhou’s old town along Tongfu Xi Road, a historic street established in 1926. Once vibrant, this area has suffered from significant neglect over the years, with many buildings falling into disrepair, creating safety hazards that forced both residents and businesses to leave. As the street’s vitality faded, so did its cultural and commercial appeal.
