The aim of the project is to rehabilitate an existing house and integrate two new single-family houses on the site. The two new houses reflect the character of the existing by their modern gabled roof. With a similar expression, the two adjust to the situation with a focus on view and light.
The revitalization and expansion project of the Headquarters of Goiás City Hall, sited in the historic center of the city, World Heritage, had as objectives: revitalize the existing buildings and consider the construction of a new annex to expand the built area, needed to shelter, in an optimized way, the administrative functions of the city incorporating some of its secretariats in the set of the two existing houses (the current one and the neighboring one).
This house was in an old terrace next to an apartment built in 1965. The owner works in travel and tourism, he once rented the house and planned to renovate it into a cultural place. It is on this spot that people meet up, share and cook Vietnamese traditional food, especially vegan one. They may also stay in during their time in Vietnam.
The house is located in Santiago de las Montañas on the street Juan de Salinas in the Las Palmas neighbourhood in Loja. It is built in 1950, and formerly known as “The Old House”. El Palomar is a restoration and renovation project in which FB+estudio creates a subtle dialogue with the city, from within.

In Baena, Córdoba, restoring its XII century castle has acquired a major characteristic, as it is one of the largest and most important projects of architectural restoration. Granada native José Manuel López Osorio was the architect commissioned to lead the whole process, which as he points out, “seeks an integrated vision of heritage that considers both the consolidation and enhancement of its historic structures, such as the ability to integrate the urban areas where it is located into global processes of revitalization.”
The residential building dating back to the early twentieth century was for years home to embassies and it is inserted in a historical context in the heart of Rome. The choice to “drape” the building in white comes from a desire to reinvigorate its presence in the urban context, highlight the architectural traits, signs of the time, the shadows, the projecting volumes, the positive and negative space of a body that is shaped by sunlight. The design aimed to a radical renovation of the building, through a constant discovery of the existing elements emerged through the design and construction phases.
Named a Chicago landmark in 2002, Chicago Union Station was designed by noted architecture firm Graham, Anderson, Probst & White and completed in 1925. The station’s ornate Beaux-Arts main waiting room, the “Great Hall,” is one of the United States’ most historic and memorable public spaces with its 219-foot-long vaulted skylight and connecting lobbies and stairwells.
In 2006, the Belgian Buildings Agency launched a competition for the redevelopment of the site of the AfricaMuseum in Tervuren. The multi-disciplinary team headed by Stéphane Beel Architects, laid out the new masterplan for the AfricaMuseum and its surrounding area.
The AMS Boogkeers project comprises the restoration and conversion of two historic buildings and the construction of a new building for the main campus of the Antwerp Management School. The project forms part of a municipal ecosystem of start-ups, scale-ups and support facilities which includes the StartUpVillage project located across the road (also designed by our office).
