After three years of construction, a visitor center has emerged as a walk-in building sculpture on the premises of Rapunzel Naturkost GmbH in Legau. The new visitor center is designed to be public and inviting and is intended to make Rapunzel’s leitmotif “We make organic out of love” tangible for visitors. A house is full of discoveries that invite guests to linger and participate in varied and emotional imparting of knowledge.
This is an intervention in and restoration of the early 16th-century mill ruins of Betekom. The ruin has been stabilized through a whole series of injections and reinforcements in the stone mass. The ruin is constructed of iron sandstone. This is a local stone that is very expressive in its eroded form.
Next Gen STEM. The Interdisciplinary Sciences Building (ISB) at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington is envisioned to showcase a next-generation STEM building. ISB is intentionally transparent inside and out, putting science and learning on display to inspire an interactive environment with active learning classrooms, teaching labs, and student collaboration areas. A communicating stair activates teamwork and collaboration throughout the building. All of this is done to help students connect with each other and faculty outside of class.

The jetty area is a planning area where the remains of the Hanshin-Awaji Great Earthquake are preserved today, to pass down to the people the situation that occurred at that time. The concept was for a building at this site that would pass on the history of the land where many crustal movements have been repeated, and that exist together with eternal time.
