A new home for the creative community has been completed in Watchet, Somerset. East Quay was designed by Invisible Studio and Ellis Williams for the Onion Collective CIC – a local female-led, not-for-profit social enterprise. It provides a new cultural anchor for the town and the surrounding area, featuring two contemporary art galleries, 11 artist studios, a paper mill, a geology workshop, a print studio, a restaurant, an education space, and five accommodation pods arranged across the top of the building.

The iconic Puffing Billy Railway is a much-loved tourist attraction located within the Dandenong Ranges, 40 kilometres east of Melbourne. Emerald Lake Park is a scenic destination for many, centrally located on the railway.

TIC Art Center, as an iconic symbol that represents the image of the maker town, received a total investment of around 180 million yuan. DOMANI was invited to carry out the overall design of the project, with the design scope covering landscape, architecture, interior, products, and more. Meanwhile, top-tier resources in the sector are joined together to create top-class work with high integrity, high standards, high academic and commercial value, and high urbanity, which is rarely seen in the real estate industry in recent years. The project becomes a hit, indicating that Times China is embarking on a new journey of refined product-oriented long-term development.

Located in the remote area in Ubud, Bali, the building is surrounded by forest and contoured land. This site is challenging to make a building that merges with nature. The design started with maintaining the existing elements, such as contoured land and trees. It makes the building initiate people to have more connection with nature.

Situated close to the city centre, the urban heritage of Jingdezhen includes an extensive area with large factory buildings from the local porcelain production in the middle of the 20th century. In the first project phase, the existing buildings in the western part of the site were refurbished and developed to become a lively and public place within the urban fabric. With new functions such as a museum, porcelain shops, and a ceramics market, the area forms a connection to its industrial past.

The most basic idea for creating the building figure of Sejong Art Center is to cut some surface off the land and elevate both ends from the ground level. Clipping both ends of the site and lifting them in opposite directions, we intended to open the two front facades toward the city and the park. This made both fronts provide at once two different orientations of views around the city.

Located in the heart of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, The Hedberg vision is to present a culturally significant performing and creative arts destination that fuels Tasmania’s cultural offering in a global and contemporary context. In 2013 LIMINAL Architecture with WOHA was awarded the project to deliver this culturally significant building.

The visitor center at Skamlingsbanken in Kolding is an architectural portal to the glacial landscape and its history of democratic events. The center is designed as a natural and integrated part of the undulating landscape and from the overall design to the small details, visitors will experience an architecture that finds its origin in Skamlingsbanken’s unique nature and history.
