February 18, 2023 Hana Abdel 0

In addition to being a “manufacturing factory” as a manufacturing base, the factory is also expected to be a “transmitting factory” that emphasizes the CSR and technological capabilities of the company. As a landmark in harmony with the environment of Nirasaki, this project demanded that TGK’s advanced technologies be disseminated to customers in the automobile industry in local and global regions. Therefore, automation technologies that utilize IoT are used in each process to optimize quality, costs, and delivery times as a smart factory.

Fendi Factory / Piuarch

January 9, 2023 Hana Abdel 0

The Milan-based studio has collaborated with the Fendi Maison to design an architecture that disappears into the landscape, placing itself in open dialogue with the surrounding nature. A raised garden is conceived to mend a long-standing rift in the terrain and recreate the hillside of the site in which it is located. This is what the new Fendi production building in Bagno a Ripoli (FI) looks like, whose design concept was conceived and developed by the Milan-based Piuarch studio and subsequently continued and coordinated by Fendi’s Architecture Department. A complex of about 14,000 square meters rising in the Tuscan countryside, conceived around a high standard of landscaping and advanced energy efficiency, the brainchild of the Maison seeks to combine the excellence of its product with the creation of an architectural landmark having significant aesthetic and environmental value. Piuarch interprets this concept in a project that becomes an integral part of its surroundings rather than a mere graft.

Plastic waste is probably a common obsession in the world today, especially in developing countries like Vietnam. Plastic waste comes from consumption habits and production costs in general. Changing habits is not easy. For many tourist areas, this amount of waste also makes Vietnam’s image less friendly.

Yongchun Qiaoxinhong Red Vinegar Sightseeing Factory / LEL DESIGN STUDIO

November 8, 2022 Collin Chen 0

Overall design: aging in local conditions, innovation in inheritance. Terrier * is the general name of a local unique natural environment (including land, mountains, rivers, climate, products, etc.) and people’s customs and habits. Whether it can express local customs is, to some extent, the standard of whether the food is good. Yongchun has a unique natural environment suitable for brewing vinegar. It has good air and water quality. It also has the ancient technology of vinegar making and the tradition of every family brewing vinegar. In the overall design, we hope to create a park, so that visitors can fully experience the brewing of other red vinegar in the unique natural environment of Yongchun, and deeply experience the charm of brewing. At the same time, it is also hoped that visitors can experience the innovation of other vinegars of Yongchunhong in the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, and perceive the combination of technology and craftsmanship.

Renovation of a Hoffmann Kiln / HCCH Studio

October 31, 2022 Collin Chen 0

Pudong Hoffman Brick Kiln (referred to as “Pudong Red Kiln”) is located in Laogang Town, Nanhui, Pudong. It is a typical Hoffman Kiln. Patented by German Friedrich Hoffmann in 1858, the kiln features a ring passageway surrounded by small rooms. It was widely used over the world because of its efficient use of heat and fuel. It began to appear on the landscape of Shanghai in the early 20th century. The red kiln on the site had already lost its original function for a long. The roof and walls were collapsed and damaged, buried by soil, and overgrown with weeds. The site sits on the edge of an underused golf course bounded by a canal that flows from the center of the town to the East China Sea. As the site will be transformed into a suburban leisure park in the future, the red kiln will also be transformed from the ruins of production into a public place.
