Aesop Store / BAROZZI VEIGA

From the street, a monolith of dark metal appears mysteriously between two columns of the building where the store is located. Familiar and foreign at the same time, it is an element that gives continuity to its surroundings but also defines a unique moment in the ensemble, an entrance.

Mendoza Apartment Renovation / noma estudio

July 21, 2023 Valeria Silva 0

We were approached by a young couple who had bought a typical apartment in the Belgrano neighborhood. The layout was very segmented and not very useful for the owners’ needs. The priority was to reform the kitchen by incorporating the service room and laundry, creating a large, bright space with work and storage areas. One of the main decisions was to connect the dining room with the kitchen through a library, accompanying the circulation between the spaces. The kitchen was one of the most important spaces for the clients, as they enjoyed sharing with friends and as a couple.

Our world today is undeniably digital; information access, and the speed of transformation, besides people & processes synergy, have a deep impact on traditional workspaces. That’s why we deeply believe that integrated and collaborative, as well as horizontal and cross-generational, formulas are necessary. Those will ease work environment experiences.

Neoclassical Apartment Renovation / Mario Montesinos Marco Architecture & Interior

July 8, 2023 Valeria Silva 0

At the end of 2021, an Unidentified Flying Object crashed into an ancient neoclassical building in the heart of the city, causing a great amount of structural damage with a deafening roar. The apartment was a work of architectural art. It had high ceilings, large windows overlooking an interior courtyard filled with tropical plants, and a beautiful view of the city’s Gran Vía. The mosaic floors and ornately decorated moldings were impressive. However, the spaceship had left its irreparable mark. The kitchen and bathroom were completely destroyed.

Cal Totxo Apartment Renovation / Cierto Estudio

July 3, 2023 Valeria Silva 0

Cal Totxo is a modernist house located at the foot of the Collserola Natural Park, which enjoys fantastic views and good solar orientation on its main facade. The original state of the apartment had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small isolated kitchen, an interior space without ventilation or natural light, and a couple of very narrow and less interesting corridors.

de Boemerang’ Primary School / EVA architecten

De Boemerang primary school is located in Ondiep, Utrecht. Ondiep is a working-class neighborhood that is largely paved with little green. When integrating into the neighborhood, we, therefore, wanted to add greenery, retain the two monumental trees in the back square and make the otherwise fully paved square more liveable.
