The new main building at Radboudumc offers a friendly and warm welcome. The completion of the building brings to an end the transition to a new healthcare campus after more than 30 years. In the 11-story building – with about 46,000 m² of floor space, plenty of daylight, and views of the surroundings – a green and salubrious environment has been created. Interacting, working together, and sharing expertise are the key qualities. This is where the mission of Radboudumc comes to life: sustainable collaboration for personalized care that benefits public health.

Located in Sa Pobla, Mallorca, in an area known as “es Raiguer” the project is a newly built house for a family. With the Serra de Tramuntana as a spectator, we proposed a house in which dialogue with the environment, the use of natural materials, and good orientation, both solar and with the prevailing winds in the area, are key elements. The project seeks to recognize some aspects of traditional construction, such as sloping roofs, the use of earthy materials, and the typology of the holes, and take them to the extreme to achieve a house in consonance with current needs and way of life.

Frederiksplein 1 Offices / Office Winhov

The former insurance bank building on the Amsterdam square Frederiksplein was constructed in 1967 and designed by Arthur Staal (1907-1993). It was a unique project for this fierce modernist who had a challenge in forming a relationship in the façades between two historical adjacent buildings. The result is a singular office building that is modern while still referencing the past – albeit abstractly.

The Spaarndammerhart restores the urban fabric of the Spaarndammer neighborhood. The street that disappeared in the 1970s for the construction of the local school, Spaarndammerschool, has been restored. The plan also brings back two street walls and adds a public courtyard to the neighborhood. Accessible through two large gates, it also connects to De Klerk’s iconic ‘The Ship’ building. In fact, the neighborhood is characterized by several world-famous monuments of the Amsterdam School.
