La Borda housing cooperative is a development self-organized by its users to access decent, non-speculative housing that places its use value in the center, through a collective structure. The idea of a housing cooperative was born in 2012 as a project of Can Batlló driven by the community in the process of recovery of the industrial premises, and the neighborhood and cooperative fabric of the Sants neighborhood of Barcelona. The project is located on a public land of social housing, with a leasehold of 75 years. Located in Constitució Street, in a bordering position of the industrial area of Can Batlló with a facade to the existing neighborhood of La Bordeta.

Ycone La Confluence Residential Tower / Ateliers Jean Nouvel

The Confluence is an emblematic urban hub that will become historic, representative as it is of the 2000s and 2010s. The word ‘confluence’ suggests meeting, convergence. In this part of Lyon, there’s the meeting of many different individuals and social actors and the convergence of a great number of styles. It’s been a pleasure to be involved in such a cultural hotbed and the whole process of liberating renewal, where every project needs to find its place. Ycone will be bordered by pre-existing buildings in an urban development that will be part of a world to come. So it was important to see what could happen: we’re not making sense for today, but for a programmed future – with all the risks that that implies: in urbanism, things that are programmed can vanish without a trace from one day to the next.

Tajín 417 Building / Cometrue

The plot, located in the Narvarte neighborhood posed various challenges, such as its L-shaped layout and the reduced front, which demanded more “interior-facing” apartments that would be appealing for the clients. As resources we implemented the use of vegetation and latticework to generate a play of light and shadow that improves the spaces. This project was designed in accordance with the land use, which allowed 4 residential floors with 11 apartments and a semi-underground parking garage.

ONE Putney Residential Building / PHASE3

ONE Putney, a landmark scheme in London, aims at transforming a neglected stretch of the town center while establishing a new dialogue for future developments along this main thoroughfare. Simultaneously mitigating the scale of the high street and the adjacent neighborhood required a thoughtful response in order to create a well proportioned and well-crafted building for the future.
