Separation of function and space
Real estate sales center is a kind of temporary architecture that can only last several months or few years at most, which is usually dismantled after houses are sold out. Even if it can be preserved in few cases, functions are completely transformed. Interior decoration of real estate sales centers is generally complicated, causing obstacles and waste of resources in the process of functional repurposement.
For life-style brand “Genshang”, We designed their new tea house on Madang road, downtown of Shanghai. The client wishes to have a place for the slow life in contrast with the daily fast-paced life. We approached the project by making a gentle sequence, from the entrance shop, long tea bar, dining area to the lounge room at the end.
The Cafe is located in one of the most flourishing Shopping District in Shanghai.
A ruined training center of state-owned enterprise is renovated to be an oriental esthetics hotel in the main road of Mount Wuyi Resort, Fujian Province of China. The commissioned designer said that, “Mount Wuyi has important status in Chinese history and culture, and we believe this deep connection when we first time stepped into this long abandoned courtyard.”
The Which Headquarters is located in the London Borough of Camden. Regent’s Park is located to the northwest, separated from the site by Peto Place and Park Square East – a row of Grade II-listed John Nash terraces.
JUNPING LAB is the first experimental pop-up store of JUNPING, a beauty skincare brand in China. Adhering to skincare concept of the brand, which is Nature, Technology, and Effectiveness, the designer aims to create a lab-style pop-up store by virtue of interesting materials and diversified lighting; in addition, the flexibility and sustainability of usage are taken into full consideration. The designer makes transformations on a container which is 12 meters in length and 2.8 meters in height, and it is transported in a hoisting manner for presentation of pop-up stores in many cities across the country.
The Shangwei Plugin Houses are renovated houses that are hundreds of years old, left vacant and in ruins for decades as Shangwei Village suffered from heavy disinvestment. The rapid urban expansion of nearby Shenzhen engulfed villages like Shangwei, turning them into urban villages, or rural islands surrounded by a sea of new development. Half of the properties in Shangwei lay abandoned as villagers fled in search of higher standards of living in neighboring areas.
The client of the project is a young Internet finance company. The main idea of the company is derived from “let finance have temperature”. The company CEO emphasizes that making a simple, transparent and equal office space is the precondition given at the beginning of the design. Therefore, the concept of the design emphasizes the status of equality and freedom, to remove traditional cubicles and the sense of containment.
H Queen’s is a commercial building that mixes 2 distinct components: Art galleries and F&B to form a unique lifestyle building. At 125 meters tall, the building is clad in Low-E glass achieving LEED gold status. Of the 24 floors, 2/3 are designed for art galleries with 4.65 meters high floor to floor.
After moving away from Shenzhen, TP-LINK found a new site in Dongguan Eco-Industrial Park, south of Yuetang Lake, quiet waterway passed by, flat terrain, natural scenery is very beautiful. The project is an industrial production park, divided into two parts: the production plant area and the dormitory area, the factory area is located near the lake, the dormitory area is located at the north of the factory area.
