Landmark Riverside Park Phase II Danzishi Old Street was a comprehensive cultural commercial experience that bridges the old and new, the oriental and western. Chongqing Landmark Riverside Danzishi Old Street received a plaque at its opening ceremony on 1 June 2018, where it was officially certified as an AAAA Class national scenic area. It was the first 4A scenic area to receive the honour under the theme of ‘port culture and Grade 9 hill slope forms’.

Unlike other emerging areas in Shenzhen with new buildings springing up like mushrooms, Luohu District is a relatively old area. Despite modern and innovative buildings rise from the ground, its history and culture pervade daily life. In the context of rapid changes and the new and the old mixing together in the city, the design of aqueous phase centers on the spirit of an exhibition of a museum.

The project located on the walking street of Min Le Park in Xi’an. With the accommodation function in its higherfloors and the commercial function in the first and second floor, it miniatures today’s street. As a brunch restaurant open to the street, we hope to discuss the “publicity” of our city through such a place and implant “open” and “sharing” into the space to make it an “urban lounge” today.
