Introducing New Real-Time Architectural Visualization Technologies for Remote Collaboration

December 21, 2020 Rene Submissions 0

This year, real-time became really important. For architects and arch-viz artists, the ability to explore and design interactively is nothing short of game-changing, drastically shortening project life cycles and making it easier to present and discuss ideas with co-workers and clients. With remote collaboration becoming a normal part of day-to-day life, real-time views of projects have become invaluable.

Computer graphics software company Chaos Group has embraced real-time with two new technologies, V-Ray Vision and Chaos Vantage, to create a complete visualization solution across workflows. The two use different methods to both achieve high-quality real-time output with the digital design tools you already know. Let’s take a look at what these technologies are, how they work, and when to use them.

“Frozen Music” Video Series: an International Tour of Exceptional Buildings and Architects

December 1, 2020 Rene Submissions 0

Today more than ever, architects are facing high expectations for the design, function and performance of a project. Careful building design takes the regional influences of climate into account, material origin, perhaps cultural building traditions. These are ways to lower the ecological footprint. But what do architects do to further enhance the building performance? That is an exciting element to explore. Finding out that today digital technologies are implemented in buildings in every region of the world is an interesting fact to discover!

During this unprecedented era of social distancing and working from home, ABB with Katrin Förster have launched a video series called “Frozen Music” to give architects a platform to both see and share successful building design around the globe. Increase Efficiency, Design Freedom and Sustainability with Light Frame Wood Construction

December 1, 2020 Rene Submissions 0

Light wood framing is highly adaptable to a wide variety of projects, from residential to large commercial developments. Its design flexibility makes it useful for an entire building or any combination of wall, floor/ceiling, and roof applications. It is also easier to adapt to different kinds of soils and site conditions, with the highest strength per weight of any building type.

The architectural freedom provided by light wood framing is also unique. Wood is easy to mix and match with other elements in order to reach the level of customization necessary for your project. Offsite manufacturing is also a crucial advantage when looking for flexibility, as products needed for the site can be customized and manufactured in parallel with the jobsite’s progress, helping to meet crucial milestones and deadlines.
