Pine Bluff, Arkansas was once a Mississippi Delta jewel, positioned where southern pines meet vast farmlands along the Arkansas River. Like many delta cities, Pine Bluff was in steady decline as industries relocated and river traffic waned. The city that once boasted 70,000 people fell to 40,000 in population, gaining a negative national reputation for crime, hurting its ability to draw industry and retain homegrown talent.
Stairs are often an inevitable part of a building’s DNA. Nowadays, staircases not only serve the function of practicality but are also a showcase of their own kind, especially if paired with a color that is guaranteed to grab attention. Among warm colors, red is considered to be the most powerful one. On one hand, it evokes feelings of joy and energy, and on the other, feelings of alertness and danger. Red can stimulate a whole range of emotions. Therefore, its usage should be attentive, delicate, and thought out.

The existing buildings are located in the municipality of Felsberg in Graubünden. The historical stock consists of a residential house with a hay barn. This stock was expanded and supplemented over time with some additions.
ACT Studio & Borhaven Arkitekter have completed a floating sauna set in the middle of the Oslo harbor. It faces the famous Oslo opera house and the central business district Barcode on the other side of the basin and is reached from the quay that runs along the Akershus fortress. It consists of two saunas and two towers with changing rooms, arranged in a pinwheel layout in order to give the saunas and the outdoor areas the desired orientation towards the city and the fjord.
The project had to meet several constraints: to renovate and partially elevate the existing accommodation of the “l’annexe” in order to increase the capacity of the hotel, to create a building to link this ” l’annexe ” to the Bastide, to design a training center with a conference room, a work room, and three offices and to carry out these works in the occupied site and more precisely by continuing the use of the sleeping premises. The construction site had to be governed and organized around this problem.
The house was designed for a couple seeking a weekend getaway in the woods to balance their busy everyday lives in the Czech capital. The site is located near Žloukovice village in a protected landscape area Křivoklátsko.
With a modern architectural language, SSP Rüthnick Architekten extended the school, which is under ensemble protection. The main building for 580 pupils was modernized and rehabilitated. The new building in the schoolyard complements the existing school building.
The new stands form an integral part of the owners of Lord’s, Marylebone Cricket Club’s (MCC), plans to future-proof the Ground. The stands deliver greatly improved sightlines and an enhanced spectator experience for cricket fans, as well as upgrading capacity, accessibility, and amenities at the country’s premier cricket venue, known as the Home of Cricket.
