Beijing Sundate Office / milanesi | paiusco

March 12, 2026 韩爽 - HAN Shuang 0

An Individual, a Content Creator, a Brand Founder, a Mother……When all these identities converge within a single space, this office is asked to hold far more than just “going to work.” Because the client’s work as a content creator is closely intertwined with her private life, the frequent shifting between roles gives the workplace an uneven rhythm. milanesi|paiusco set out to satisfy the needs of these multiple identities, creating a small world where good mood and inspiration can coexist.

Guangdong Brick House / WUWU Atelier, ADINJU

March 11, 2026 韩爽 - HAN Shuang 0

Rural construction is mostly spontaneous, giving rise to a rich diversity of built forms. Within this organic complexity, our strategy is not to assert ourselves through contrast, but to inhabit the context with quiet modesty. “We hope this house will help the children remember where their hometown is.” This heartfelt wish shared by our client Ms. Zhang. Having left their hometown for Guangzhou at a young age, her family rarely returns. This renovation of their ancestral home aims to improve living comfort and create better conditions for family reunions—offering the next generation a tangible connection to their roots. Since the house is not for daily use, the design also prioritizes low maintenance and cost control.

Floating Pavilion / Studio RE+N

March 10, 2026 韩爽 - HAN Shuang 0

Tea terraces cascade toward the horizon, threaded with drifting mist  —  the Floating Pavilion sits at the summit of a terraced tea mountain in Songyang County, Zhejiang Province, China, some five hundred meters above sea level. A slender white form hovers above the fields on minimal supports, as if a thin wing had just been lifted by the wind. “Floating” describes both a structural condition  —  a thin roof suspended above the ground  —  and a quality of time in this place, where mist drifts, light shifts, and one pauses briefly on the mountain, as in a fleeting moment of respite.

Xikoucuò Dwelling / Atelier ALL

March 6, 2026 韩爽 - HAN Shuang 0

In the Chaoshan region, “Cuò” refers to residential dwellings, a term that not only denotes the physical space of a house but also extends to social connections like “厝边” (Cuò-biān, neighborhood). Xikoucuò is located on the outskirts of Teochow, on a uniformly planned new rural construction site. The plot is not far from the old village, adjacent to a branching stream. The residential plot faces the stream to the south and backs onto a planned rural road to the north. There is a height difference of about 4 meters on the stream side.

Heyi office / DPAA Design

February 21, 2026 韩爽 - HAN Shuang 0

The project is situated within a garment-focused industrial park in Guangzhou, where the primary activities encompass office operations and production. The original structure is a three-story, cube-shaped building with a frame system—consistent with most structures in the park, it abuts the main thoroughfare directly, enclosed on all sides, and presents an almost collisional interface with the street front, lacking any form of buffer zone. The design brief calls for the transformation of this cubic building into a garment design office capable of accommodating approximately 100 occupants. The high occupancy density, combined with the inherently strong functional attributes of the office typology, introduces a pronounced sense of spatial density to the site. Against the backdrop of prioritizing functional requirements, the design process is initiated.

Kangsheng Road Education Complex / SEU-ARCH + ZRADI + UA GROUP

February 20, 2026 韩爽 - HAN Shuang 0

The complex consists of a 24-class junior high school, a 30-class primary school, and a 24-class kindergarten, arranged sequentially from south to north, with integrated basements. The three principal architects in charge of the design engaged in an interesting “design dialogue,” balancing division of labor and collaboration. Given their close relationship, the junior high and primary schools agreed on a coordinated master plan. Both structures adopt a “sandwich”-like layout. First, the dimensions of the connecting body at critical junctions are strictly controlled. Then, each is free to develop its own expression. The junior high and primary school buildings are divided longitudinally into three functional spaces. Arranged from west to east are auxiliary teaching space, main teaching space, and extracurricular interest space.
