Situated on more than 2 acres of the sprawling 12-acre Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, The Cove is an outdoor space that evokes the carefree and lively spirit of Southern California. As one of California’s largest luxury pool concepts, The Cove features a steel-clad outdoor bar and grill with a full commercial kitchen, IT space, private showers and bathrooms, three whirlpool spas, a grand pool, terraced lounge seating, luxe private daybeds, swaying hammocks flanked by towering date palm trees, a raised bocce ball court, a working greenhouse for private wellness experiences and an outdoor restaurant and bar. It also includes the re-imagination of the existing greenhouse into an organic dining experience. The nearly USD 20 million pool, restaurant, and bar project is set among the picturesque Santa Monica Mountains.

This project is located in the small community of Joshua Tree, in Southern California. The clients for this project were seeking a quiet home to serve as a family retreat. They had been visiting the Joshua Tree area for decades, enjoying the endless hiking and biking trails of the high desert. Whether for recreation or relaxation, they had developed a deep connection with the local culture and landscape. They were looking for a home that represented and nurtured this relationship with the outdoor environment.

Atobiu Installation / Sardarch

Atobiu, meaning “meeting” in Sardinian, is an urban installation in S’Olivariu Park in Uta (CA). The local administration promoted the project intending to create an outdoor theater that re-designs the square behind City Hall, transforming it into a vibrant social hub for the Uta community. This space is designed to be enjoyed by everyone at various times of the day, fostering a sense of community and togetherness.

Nature Park Amager / ADEPT

Just a short ride from Copenhagen City Hall Square, Amager Nature Park, a 35 km2 landscape park offers protected nature, open spaces, and an unhindered stretch of coastline. Completed over the past year, LYTT Architecture and ADEPT have rethought the park’s identity, including the completion of a series of visitor points that stage the overall experience of landscape, water, and biodiversity.

A small outpost is bermed into a steep slope site with mountain bike and cross-country ski access for an outdoor enthusiast – Located in Mazama, Washington, the site for this small cabin lies in the heart of the Methow Valley. The dramatic views and opportunity for year-round recreation drew our client to this region. A strong relationship to the topography and a response to the drastically different seasons were key to the design.

Broydenborg Housing Block / archipelago

More than 60 units for assisted living and a new community centre are placed at the core of an existing building block in Hoboken, a small town in Antwerp, Belgium. The former industrial sawmill that occupied the site was demolished and replaced with a compact housing project that densifies the city centre and seeks a reconnection with the neighbourhood.

The Offset Adu Residence / Byben

The Offset Adu is a 933 sq ft back house. This project was built instead of adding to the existing house and is placed on the existing garage location. The second level is offset because of the power lines behind the property, this offset creates a deck on the second level and a covered front entrance. The Adu divides the rear yard into 3 new spaces: a deck between the Adu and the house, a rear yard, and a side yard. Each of these spaces now creates a more diverse and usable exterior area.

Roam Ranch is a 4,362-square-foot single-family home on a working ranch outside of Fredericksburg, Texas. It is a testament to the rigorous modern design presented in a central Texas vernacular in its form, finishes, and spirit—a unique assembly of contemporary and traditional design.
