Flink is a bakery café brand located in Pangyo, where IT companies are concentrated and crowded with people all weekdays. The design point of this project is to show continuous rectangular patterns which are organized by modular formation. The used repetitive design language in modularity and provided changes in texture due to different material finishes under the high ceiling installed with stainless steel panels.
The building is in a modest residential neighborhood in the Natore district of Rajshahi Division located in northern Bangladesh. The 2.7 katha (185 square meters) property has a frontage that offers beautiful views of nature and looks out over Kanaikhali field toward the west. Its northern boundary is shared with Ansar Camp. This Kanaikhali field was a deep jungle many years ago, where people were afraid to live due to the danger posed by wild animals. An old woman named Ayna built her own shelter and lit her lamp, allowing her to dwell there without fear. This served as the inspiration for the building’s name, “Ayna Burir Adar” (which means, Jungle of the old woman Ayna). The family consists of a couple, their children, and their elderly mother.

The starting point for the conception was visiting the location of the project, none of the project team members had been to Solan before. We wanted to immerse ourselves in the context of the city, understand what it looks like from the inside, and, of course, get to know its inhabitants.
“The Athletes House is a private bespoke extension located in Hampshire completed in Autumn 2021 by award-winning, Winchester-based Architects AR Design Studio. The clients came to the Studio with the brief to extend and transform their 1950s home.
A bounded house on a Barwon Heads block, this second home separates interaction across the site in order to exacerbate it when desired. Raised off the ground due to a flooding overlay, the house is broken up into primary elements of varying spatial organization. Set inside a deformed perimeter of columns, each element functions on its own, allowing the family to grow and recede during the ever-changing occupation over the course of a year.
Located in a dense neighborhood in front of a commuter train station, this passively designed 3 stories mosque with a school on the ground floor serves as a verandah for the surrounding community. “Architecture should speak of its time and place, but yearn for timelessness.” – Frank Gehry.
WORKac’s rethinking of Hans Hollein’s iconic and eclectic bank headquarters in Lima, Peru creates new interior and exterior spaces with design elements inspired by Hollein’s vision, yet remains firmly rooted in contemporary ideas about virtual and in-person collaboration and interaction.
