The concept originated from the quest for a centrally located house with a courtyard in the city, aiming to avoid relocating to the outskirts while still maintaining privacy and adapting to the characteristics of urban land. Situated on an unconventional lot in Rosario, the house has a narrow front of 3.40 meters that widens towards the center of the block, where a neighborhood mechanic workshop previously operated. Designing Spaces for Impactful Musical Experiences

June 10, 2024 Carla Bonilla Huaroc 0

Music consumption has historically been closely connected to the environments in which it is enjoyed. Before the advent of music recordings, listening to music was a social activity tied to collective rituals in physical spaces, such as concerts or smaller communal gatherings. With the development of music records and now with the current availability of virtually any kind of music at our fingertips, experiencing music has become a more solitary and routine endeavor. School Group Samuel Paty / Ateliers O-S architectes

June 9, 2024 Paula Pintos 0

The Samuel Paty School in Béziers is centered around a strong paradigm that combines massiveness and porosity. Its urban positioning is based on the highlighting of a clean and longitudinal volume that adapts to the site’s topography. In the heart of the Devèze district, the primary school is developed only on a single ground floor, to offer a human-level building scale. The roof is therefore a real facade in its own right, in the sense that it is as visible as the elevations. The sanded concrete materiality then makes it possible to unify these different planes into a whole, in which the composition blends with its volume.
