The project of conversion of an original factory hall into offices for Monolot Studio was developed in close collaboration with the client, both in design and on inspection days, during which countless new solutions were created. The investors, Honza and David, the founders of Monolot, are good friends of mine, and we have complemented each other in our collaboration, pushing the design and implementation always a little further towards a better solution.

Reimagining the Talaga Sampireun Experience in Bali – Talaga Sampireun, a well-known Indonesian restaurant chain synonymous with lakeside dining experience (talaga) and community gatherings (sampireun), lives up to its name across locations. However, their newest Bali outpost by K-Thengono Design Studio takes this concept further. In a departure from the standard Talaga Sampireun formula of individual saung (Sundanese for huts) spread around a lake and a separate main dining hall, the design team aimed for a more integrated experience. Here, the design forms a narrative, tracing the story of a rural Indonesian village nestled beside a body of water.

Aleatek Studio’s concept of “Floating Forest” has been announced as the winner of the competition for the design of the Serbia Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025. The pavilion, will be located at the West Entrance and Earth Plaza, aims to interpret Serbian culture and the country’s natural landscape through architectural expression. The design strategy also aligns with the theme “Play for humanity” of the upcoming Specialised Expo 2027 to be held in Belgrade.
