Feline Chalet is a ski chalet situated on a beautiful rural landscape in Collingwood, which has views towards two mountains – the Blue Mountain on the north-west and the Osler Bluff on the south-west – and a small creek flowing into Georgian Bay on the east end. Responding to the rich and complex characteristics of the site and the client’s vision for a refuge, the project is resolved into three discrete structures – the public/living / ceremonial (the “hut”), the transitional (the “bridge”), and the private / sleeping / functional (the “cave”) – arranged from west to east respectively on the north edge of the site.

Italian architect and industrial designer Gaetano Pesce has passed away at the age of 84, as announced today on the creator’s official Instagram page. Known for the famous UP5 Chair (2000) by B&B Italia which can be compressed like a sponge, and the Organic Building in Osaka, Japan (1993), with a vertical garden irrigated by a complex, computer-controlled hydration system, Pesce dedicated over six decades to his craft, accumulating a portfolio that spanned architecture, product design, and art.

Kiddy Kitty Court House is an alteration and additions project to an arts and crafts cottage in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne. The owners, AFL player Ben Brown and marriage celebrant Hester Brown, came to us as excited parents-to-be. They loved their charming 2-bedroom cottage in Moonee Ponds but recognized it would not meet the demands of a growing family. Their brief was to create a family home that was light, bright, and joyous to accommodate their future kiddy, two kitties, and their busy, sport-loving lives.

Yuko Nagayama & Associates designed the façade of Tokyu Kabukicho Tower – Over 4000 glass panels were printed on the surface to represent the fountain that was once there. This super high-rise building in Tokyo’s Kabukicho district, near Shinjuku Station, spans five basement floors and 48 stories aboveground and has a total floor area of approximately 87,400m2. The largest entertainment complex in Japan, the building contains a cinema, a theater, a live venue, and a host of other functions. We worked on the building’s exterior design and part of the interior design.
