KPF releases images of 520 Fifth Avenue supertall skyscraper in Manhattan

American architecture studio Kohn Pedersen Fox has released images of an in-progress supertall skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan wrapped in arched windows. The building will rise 1,000 feet (304 metres) in height and will be located at 520 Fifth Avenue, a site near New York City landmarks such as the Chrysler Building and the New York Public

Populous designs “modular” Cricket World Cup stadium for New York

In this project, I renovated an apartment for a young couple and their newborn child. I was involved from the stage of selecting the property, and in the end, the clients settled on an apartment with a unique layout: in comparison to 70 square meters of indoor space, there was a 35 square meter backyard. The building is located in a so-called “commuter town,” and its surrounding area is dotted by parks, large and small. For a couple about to begin raising a child, these environmental factors played an important role in their choice.

The Carvalho House is based on a very objective investigation of the organization of the program of a weekend house on a large flat plot facing a lake. Given such a special condition, the majority of spaces are composed of large glass panels, as in classical modernist houses, connecting the internal and external spaces.
