Studio House Guápulo / Rama Estudio

The project is developed in the neighborhood of Guápulo in Quito, it is an old indigenous settlement that went from being a town on the outskirts of the city to becoming an urban neighborhood with a heterogeneous population. Most of the houses are self-built and housed extended families. With the passage of time, they became rental houses mainly for artists, migrants, tourists, and students.

American fashion label Thom Browne has opened its first retail location in San Francisco, designed by ASA Studio Albanese to feature dramatic marble against white slatted blinds. The flagship store is situated at 432 Jackson Street in the historic Yeon Building, which dates back to 1855, in the heart of the city’s luxury shopping district.

Nestled on the south side of Mount Shefford (Québec, Canada), this residence is divided into three main volumes that follow the curves of the land. The volume that is slightly embedded in the mountain, on the rear façade, houses a ceramic workshop and a garage. A smaller volume, clad in Corten steel, is occupied by the master bedroom, its bathroom, and storage spaces.

House at the Edge of the Forest / Papundekl Architects

After a long tiring search through catalogs for their ideal home, a young family approached Papundekl architects with their vision. They found the layout of the catalog houses impractical and uneconomical. The basic task for the architects was a one-story barrier-free bungalow and a layout with a minimum amount of corridors, all with regard to low overall costs. The architects placed the house in the center of a triangular plot of land at the foot of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains. Along the northern boundary of the plot runs an important path to the Ondřejník mountain.
