Foster + Partners connects pair of skyscrapers with 100-meter-high suspension bridge

British architecture studio Foster + Partners has completed two skyscrapers for drone manufacturer DJI in Shenzhen called DJI Sky City, which are connected by an open-air suspension bridge over 100 meters above the ground. DJI Sky City consists of a pair of 200-metre-high skyscrapers that house the headquarters and innovation centre of Shenzhen-based robotics company and drone specialists

Blendahaus House / Estúdio MRGB

As the client’s first premise, this hypothesis structured all the design solutions of Blendahaus, a house located on the outskirts of Brasília. Likewise, it guided de project on a considerably difficult site, with a 9 meters slope, surrounded by an ecological reserve of native “cerrado” – the local vegetation biome -: a suspended pavilion measuring 28 meters in length.

Faysal Tabbarah Appointed Curator of the National Pavilion UAE at the 2023 Venice Biennale

The National Pavilion UAE has announced the appointment of Faysal Tabbarah, Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Architecture at the American University of Sharjah, as the curator of UAE’s pavilion for the 18th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia in 2023. Tabbarah’s proposal for the exhibition focuses on the arid and dry landscapes of the UAE and their relationship with architecture. Through the research, these areas are reimagined as spaces of abundance and productivity. This approach represents Faysal Tabbarah’s response to the Venice Biennale 2023 theme: The Laboratory of the Future.
