The essence of the house was to find a balance between nature and architecture through durable materials that would allow this constant connection. The main task of the couple that was going to inhabit the house was to find a refuge from the dynamics to which they are accustomed in a city. They searched for peace, nature, silence and freedom.

Wooden elements have the power to add warmth to a space or building. Through their shades, textures and rustic look, wooden surfaces tend to stand out, especially when used alongside more neutral and sober materials. In the Aldapeta María Ikastetxea School, a project developed by IDOM in the city of San Sebastian, Spain, the architects used the material in a particularly interesting way. Wood panels brought visual comfort and warmth to the building, whose material palette is limited, focusing especially on the use of glass, steel and exposed concrete.

Making a house with a ground floor and two floors is like putting on a shiny, sparkling shirt while still keeping the modern and trendy space. It is difficult to fully understand the uniqueness of the house from the outside. However, this is also a distinct attraction of the Go Vap Townhouse space.

LECO Tokyo is a hair salon that represents Japan in recent years, run by Soichiro Uchida. The fourth hair salon “LECO Odd” opened in Harajuku (Tokyo) in March 2022. The meaning of the store’s name “odd” is intended to convey meanings of strangeness or peculiarity.

There was a piece of land in the Rakuhoku district of Kyoto City that had been lived in from generation to generation since the late Edo period. Each family member built a house and a place of work on the land, and they lived together and apart from each other. Although there are now institutional boundaries of ownership, until recently, people crossed the boundaries of the land and came and went as needed, and in reality, the boundaries were loose. In terms of the length of time spent here, the house is ephemeral and the land is permanent, so when you live here, you will feel like living in the land as well as in the house. The two houses and the workshop on this land were to be demolished to make way for a single house.
