A residence that’s all about celebrating the family’s love for their land and their agricultural heritage, situated amidst residential pockets of Chennai, India. The client’s understanding of the significance of landscape and the design team’s conscious effort to integrate that with the activities inside built spaces guide the project decisions.

The initial commission was to advise the client looking for a terrain capable to satisfy his desire of living by the river. The BM residence, located in the interior of São Paulo, was designed to be a weekend getaway for the architects Gustavo Martinhão and Marcella Belluzzo. The plot, adjacent to an area of ​​environmental preservation, stimulated the investigation of an architecture that subtly inserts itself in the landscape, disintegrating the limit between the residence and the natural spaces.
