The Hairett is a hair salon situated in the heart of the city, Bangkok. We wanted to build a unique character that makes The Hairett different from the other feminine hairdresser shops in town. One of the challenges was the budget, so a simple material such as concrete and wall-painted are mandatory but how we can make it characteristics and unique is our goal.
Open-up
A Coffee shop should be a part of public life.In the original condition, the shop was separated from the adjacent plaza by an advertising wall. Intentionally, we wanted to created a secluded and open place, like a gazebo standing on the plaza, naturally attracting people into its shelter. So we removed the advertising wall and used the canopy to create an in-between space, making all the facades transparent.
LAID HOUSE (Layer-Trapezoid) is a house that has the Mashrabiya Wall as the main element. Mashrabiya walls chosen by the client for home design which is not too exposed around the house. The client is a Muslim family who wanted the house to be able to take part in protecting and implementing Islamic principles in the design process.
Some of the main key challenges of this project were to create spatial sensations within the rooms, while limited to a small property. This has been achieved by applying sliding doors as dividers of apartment rooms, resulting in widening the living room area and giving it a wider and spatial feeling.

Located on an exposed Cornish hillside overlooking Polzeath Beach, the House with Courtyards has been created with a deep awareness of its surroundings – considering materials, orientation, topography, and light. The home has been designed to take advantage of the thin, steeply sloping site to ensure that every room is provided with a view out towards the sea.
