The underground water reservoir of Pest is located right behind the plot, and on one side we find a public park. SHA Terminal 1 was built in the beginning of the last century. Due to the disordering construction and outdated facilities in past time, the current urban environment & traffic are messy and supporting facilities are insufficient, which fail to meet the requirements of developing modern aviation business districts. The upgrade reconstruction of Terminal 1 serves as a leading project to improve the service of Hongqiao Business District which has brought great significance to the comprehensive regeneration of the east area of Hongqiao Business District. This project takes improving the quality of airport service and transforming the 100-year-old Terminal into a “Boutique Terminal” as the goal.

Trilux Headquarter / Graft Architects

GRAFT designed the new headquarters of the German lighting company TRILUX in Cologne. The design of the rectangular building is strongly inspired by the client’s craft: light, refraction and reflections are reflected – in the truest sense of the word – throughout the building and its design embodies the precision of lamp manufacture. The continuous, staggered glass façade presents a changing pattern of reflections from different viewpoints and draws inspiration from the aesthetics of spotlight reflectors, which optimize the optical distribution of the light source. To achieve this, each façade module is rotated at the same angle about its central axis. The overall impression is of a monolithic building that produces different light and depth effects depending on the point of view.

House in Tamagawa / Case Design Studio

The site faces the Tama River, and there are gentle embankment and front road of around 2m in height that the grass grew between the river. A wall surface retreat line was decided in a scenic zone, and building area was limited by 44 square meters.
I established the basement to get a necessary area and did it with a master bedroom and a storeroom and posted a child room and an amusement place in the first floor facing the garden in piano nobile at the good second floor level of the view.

The new building, part of Nestlés social block at the Granero factory (VI Región – Chile), uses a variety of bioclimatic strageties, within a company policy of rational use of energy resources and economics in the 21th century. These strategies favorize the usage of natural resources, pasive vetilation systems, air-condition and cleaning for inside spaces, natural controlled illumination, effective cost savings in the use of hydrological resources (water consumption of restrooms, etc), tendencies to find the best sustainability, quality of life, rational use of resources and protection of the environment.
