Sittard, a city in the most southern province of the Netherlands: Limburg, consists of a historical inner city with a medieval rampart surrounded by firing fields. The design for the area around the city border introduces a new city heart in a close visual and physical link to the historical inner city. A big meeting square is a crucial part of the design and opens to the firing fields and the old city centre.

The school, which is built from locally sourced materials including mud bricks, cassava render, and bamboo screens, will provide further learning for students from a network of 40 primary schools established

A weathered mountain top with a magnificent view and strict building regulation determined Arkitektværelset’s design of this secluded cabin. The high altitude mountain area of Imingfjell, Norway, is beautiful, but weathered and windblown. It also has rather strict building regulations. Cabins are to have sectioned windows, standing wood paneling, 22-27 degrees gabled roofs, and triple bargeboards.
