World’s longest 3D-printed concrete bridge opens in Shanghai

A team led by professor Xu Weiguo at the Tsinghua University School of Architecture in Beijing has 3D-printed a 26.3-metre-long concrete bridge, which they claim is the world’s longest. The 3.6-metre-wide pedestrian bridge, which spans a canal in Shanghai’s Baoshan District, was installed earlier this year. It was designed by Tsinghua University School of Architecture’s Zoina Land Joint

Moroglu Arseven Law Office is located within the extension of an eight-story building in the Nisantasi district of Istanbul. The extension is a simple reinforced concrete carcass structure constructed for an automatic multi-story car park system, that ceased to function after a period. During the design of the refurbishment process, we see the existing structure as a starting point of the project rather than a restraint. This structure, which we cannot change its structural elements, served as a template to place functions into.

Located on the main street of Rajkot city, the site with a built area of 152 SQ.M spanning over two floors was provided to design a mobile retail store. The store was conceptualized to accentuate the retails, by depicting the importance of connectivity, while possessing an essence of tradition. Connection and intimacy is reflected through a soft transition in varying brick technology and a warm earthy colour palette.

World Trade Center Site to create Memorial to those affected by 9/11-Related Illnesses

The World Trade Center site is to create a memorial honoring the thousands of people who have been affected by illnesses related to the September 11th, 2001 terror attacks in New York City. As reported by Curbed NY via The New York Post, the Memorial Glade site will honor rescue, recovery, and relief works as well as survivors and downtown residents who got sick or died from 9/11-related illnesses.
