The cruise terminal is located on the North-West Seawall (Loodemuul) of the Tallinn Old City Harbour, extending from Logi street to the end of the seawall. It is a combination of a promenade and hall construction, where the cruise terminal functions as the driving element in creating the 850 m long seaside urban park.
Baltimore Bend, an icon for Almere Buiten has been opened! 2022 starts with a bang! And a blue bang at that. The multi-functional art playground Baltimore Bend, designed by Arttenders and Studio Spass, has been finalized and is shining in all its brilliance in Baltimore Square. The work is commissioned by the municipality of Almere and has been festively opened today by alderwoman Hilde van Garderen.
The urban requalification of the “Colina Sagrada do Senhor do Bonfim” is a project involving the redesign of one of the most important spaces in the city of Salvador da Bahia. It includes three plazas: Praça Teodósio Rodrigues de Faria, Largo do Bonfim and Praça Eusébio de Matos, reaching 36.050,00 m². The site topography depicts a 22 m high difference between levels, which suggests different uses on each one of them. While on its top-level uses are determined by visitors’ religious and cultural manifestations, the lowest ones shelter secular programs, such as retail, services, and leisure.
This project has been positioned, upon entrustment, to create a public commercial district that is different from the traditional fully-enclosed community. As planned, the commercial district will connect the Jiangpu Park in the south and the riverside greenbelt in the east to create an urban valley with infinite possibilities for residents here and nearby to explore, with retreated boundary walls. The landscape design has inherited the design language that is consistent with the architectural design.
The Cuddly Playground in the Southern Park in Sopot, Poland is a public space telling the story of Kayko, Kokosh, and Cuddly the dragon – the characters from the animated series inspired by the cult comic book series. Moreover, the playground commemorates their creator Janusz Christa, a famous resident of the city.
Background. The Flower Station is the primary pavilion of the exhibition Flowering Puhuitang for the 2021 Shanghai Urban Space Art Season, located in Xuhui District, Shanghai. The site is adjacent to Qinzhou Road and East Tianlin Road, near the Puhuitang, an important waterway in Xuhui District, and was formerly a flower market that had to be reformed into a parkland during urban regeneration. The Flower Station is a forerunner in the comprehensive regeneration of the site, introducing the notion of “green, art, and co-building” into the traditional neighborhood. Under the premise of a limited budget, limited land area, and limited construction period, the design adopted a strategy of integrating architecture, structure, space, material, and structure and was successfully constructed in 109 days with the collaboration of all departments.
Oertelplatz, a square in the Allach area of Munich, is a new development providing the quarter with a new urban heart and transportation centre. Buromoscow designed the new Terekhovo station of the Big Circle Line of the Moscow metro. Big circle line (BCL) is a core project for the metro network development of the Russian capital. With its 71 kilometers of length and 31 stations, it is the longest circle line in the world. It will unload radial metro lines, save passengers up to 30 minutes on each trip, and bring public transport to the remote areas of Moscow.
This project was initiated by the local government who wanted to revitalize the Syech Yusuf Discovery area. The site itself is surrounded by The Grand Mosque, the government office including the mayor’s office which made this area into a central meeting point of governmental activities. Not only that, this location is filled with many sports facilities such as jogging track and a couple of sports fields turning it into a desirable destination even for people from different cities such the people of Makassar during weekend.
