Gerusa Fran Doces Sweet Store / Studio Guilherme Garcia

For the project of this bakery specializing in cakes that works in the takeaway system signed by Guilherme Garcia, we sought to escape the traditional, bringing inspiration from Art Deco, a style that permeates the project’s identity. Pink, green, and sand tones were the basis of the composition made for this commercial project, playing with shapes and nuances of the same color, making the senses emerge and the environment turning into an experimental space.

LVMH has commissioned ciguë to apply its vision to the new La Samaritaine department store, which is at last opening its doors after being closed for a long time. On 3 floors along the Rue de Rivoli, ciguë continues to fragment Parisian archetypes: a process already set in motion by Sanaa’s powerful undulating glass façade.

Tangning Books / Leaping Greative

Reconstruct the space through architectural transformation, and enable every corner to tell the brand’s story
The project is a bookstore that occupies a pivotal position within Si Hai Cheng Plaza, Panyu District, Guangzhou. Connected to a sunken square at the front and backed by apartment buildings, it enjoys a tranquil environment in a lively neighborhood. In the post-pandemic era, its community-based location has a huge advantage. The original building was the supporting facility of a terrace racecourse. It was a two-storey structure which spanned more than 40 meters. The interior space had a low ceiling and irregular structures, making it difficult to serve commercial purposes. For this reason, Leaping Creative team worked out a series of strategies to improve the spatial pattern.

Goodies Santa Monica Store / Sheft Farrace

Up-and-coming Los Angeles home goods brand, Goodies’, recently opened their newest store in Santa Monica. Goodies tapped architects and long-time collaborators, Sheft Farrace to bring the space to life – the relationship dates back to 2017 when they designed their first pop-up on Los Angeles’ Melrose Place. Following its success, they designed Goodies’ inaugural brick & mortar store in Atwater Village, Los Angeles in 2018 and were brought back again to design the new Santa Monica location.

Kanishka Start Store / ARC Architects

The store for the Kanishka brand of clothing and accessories is located on the first and basement floors of a 5-story residential building built in the middle of the 20th century in Tashkent. The first floor is characterized by high ceilings and large windows opening onto the street.

Kanemitsusyuzo Store / FATHOM

Located in Kurose-cho, Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The project is the renovation of the direct sales office of Kanemitsu Sake Brewery, which has been in business since 1898. When I first saw the large wall of the sake brewery, a registered tangible cultural property visible from the national highway, I felt as if I were looking at a stratum of layers of the history of sake brewing.

Book Strolling House / Todot Architects and Partners

The client wanted to build a house for his family, a bookstore and a guesthouse as a spiritual shelter for the urban kids on a scenic site with Pyeongtaek Lake, as the background, filled with Pampas grass. It seemed like the client who used to run a cram school, felt disgusted with the way he was pushing the young people to the battlefield and always thought that he was getting worn out. Consoled and rewarded by reading books with kids, he decided to realize his dream with us to wrap up the competitive urban life, work on more meaningful things and live healthy.
