The project involves renovating an old warehouse by the Zhengbin harbor and adding a mezzanine level in the double-height space for a restaurant and wine bar seating area. Our main design principle is “ocean view,” ensuring that all design elements face the scenic fishing port in front of the site. We use massing, recessed corridors, and material textures to create an indoor atmosphere that resembles semi-outdoor spaces.
This project, of an apartment from the beginning of the 20th century, is located in a building between the iconic Diário de Notícias and the Sagrado Coração de Jesus Church, on Rua Rodrigues Sampaio.
The 55-year-old apartment is located in the beach town of Hayama, southeast of the ever-popular tourist area of Kamakura on the Miura Peninsula. The owners contacted us with the request to transform the space into a bright and easy-to-take-care home. The apartment building in which it is located, with big windows facing a large garden, had plenty of potential to fulfill their desire.
The intervention is carried out in a 32m2 apartment in a listed building of heritage character from the thirties in the Balvanera neighborhood, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The preexisting organization of the unit presented a series of poorly articulated enclosures, so the work was done to maximize the entry of natural light throughout the unit and recover the footprint of the original project, while adapting to contemporary ways of living, such as living and working in the same space.

About. Ateliers Nadvorie completes the final stage of the Nadvorie complex, a space dedicated to contemporary culture. Within this proposal, a new pedestrian entrance from Pekarska Street and the university park has been established. This multifunctional building encompasses a diverse range of spaces, configured as a creative center with both independent and shared studios, a residential studio structure, an active ground floor with commercial areas, workshops, and administrative facilities for the entire Nadvorie complex.
Nantou Ancient City, also known as Nantou, historically governed areas including Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, and Dongguan. It served as an administrative center, a coastal defense fortress, and a hub for maritime traffic and foreign trade in the coastal regions of Lingnan across various dynasties. It is also one of the historical and cultural origins of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In the early years of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, with the relocation of the County government, Nantou concluded its 1700-year history as an ancient city and naturally evolved into Nantou Village on the site of the old city. Since the reform and opening up, and with the rapid urbanization and industrialization of Shenzhen, Nantou has gradually transformed into Nantou Urban Village.
Peace Park, initially established in 1958 under the name “Tilan Park” in its early construction phase and later renamed in the following year, stands as a historically significant urban park in northeast Shanghai, ranking as the third largest park in the central city within the Inner-Ring Road.
The interiors of this 178 sqm (1,916 square feet) apartment favor the fluidity of the space, family gatherings and the beautiful view of Brasília’s horizon.
