Design Engine has completed their ambitious scheme to redevelop Feldon Valley, with the final phase of works culminating in the opening of a new boutique hotel and four woodland lodges. Situated in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, 3 miles east of Shipston-on-Stour, Feldon Valley traces its origins to the early 1990s, when a group of enterprising local farmers and businessmen took the decision to convert agricultural land into a golf club. Originally called Brailes Golf Club, it was established in 1991 and opened in 1992.

IOMA Art Center / ARCHSTUDIO

IOMA is an art center situated at 798 Art Zone, Beijing, which is a transformation project. Based on the concept of “symbiosis”, the design aimed to realize harmonious coexistence between the new and old, inside and outside, architecture and nature, as well as art and mankind. As approaching the project, ARCHSTUDIO reasonably utilized the original architectural space, and added extensions to the top floor and along the street, with a view to satisfying diverse future functional demands.

RF Apartment / SuperLimão Studio

An apartment with 160 m² from the 50’s in Paulista Avenue, in São Paulo (Brazil) with a lot of history and customers willing to expose all the marks of time. SuperLimão’s project in the Artacho Jurado’s classic Saint Honoré building, won as residents a couple linked to art, architecture and photography and wanted an apartment to receive friends for dinners and get togethers.

In the integral refurbishment of this house, located in a neighbourhood of Madrid, two strategies have been combined to generate a fluid and flexible space: the creation of a central service core and the separation of the house into two areas, a public and a private one.

This 70 m² house is located in Bekasi, West Java, about 40 minutes drive from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta. Surrounded by high-density houses with 6-meter wide street at the east & south of the site. The basic thinking behind Genteng House is as simple as the love for mother nature. Genteng House stands on the site where an old house stood for years. The old house was abandoned, for most of its materials were badly broken, a slight renovation couldn’t simply help. No matter how bad, we couldn’t help but thinking that it is impossible for us to donate such amount of waste to our mother earth.

Giuseppe Merlo of Milan..Today, after 70 years, the changed needs of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences are pushing for a partial rethinking of the internal layout, prompted by requests to accept new functions and a rationalization of internal paths.

House S / HHF Architects

The new garden pavilion completes the historic renovation of a small villa built in the early 1900’s by the famous Swiss architect Hans Bernoulli (1876-1953). The villa originally contained two small apartments, with few tiny rooms, and was built with simple materials. In order to meet today’s demands of a family of four, the small villa was converted into a residential house and complemented by an extension of a garden and music pavilion.
