London’s Design Museum destroyed former Commonwealth Institute, says heritage body
The transformation of London’s former Commonwealth Institute into a new home for the Design Museum has resulted in the loss of a “magnificent post-war masterpiece”, according to the Twentieth Century Society. The UK heritage body has added the 1960s building – which was overhauled by OMA and John Pawson – to its growing Lost Modern
