Facing the sunset in the countryside plains of the of the state of São Paulo (Brazil) and with a privileged view, the LLP House, signed by lbmr, evokes integration as the project’s main point. Complemented by a land that rises and binds the landscape to the house’s common areas, the office proposed a broad plan where residents could gaze the view at different times of the day.

Lumion Amsterdam School / Atelier PRO architects

The former MTS (secondary technical school) building from 1973 designed by architect B.J. Ingwersen has been transformed by atelier PRO into the new premises of Lumion Amsterdam, a school for MAVO /senior general (HAVO) and pre-university (VWO). A combination of demolition, renovation and new construction has given this municipal monument a second life as the accommodation for the first Kunskapsskolan in the Netherlands.

Villa Bunkherr / Phillip Architekten BDA

The biggest challenge of the project Bunkherr came up at the outset of the collaboration between the client and the architects. The attractive hillside property was located in a former holiday home neighborhood set amidst a picturesque landscape in Hesse, Germany. Due to great dedication, perseverance and a tenacious struggle for the client’s strong desire to build their home in this very attractive place, a construction permit could finally be successfully acquired.

Core Bank Corporate Headquarters / Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture

A showstopping office building in the suburbs. The project amplified the company’s brand identity – strength and integrity – through an honest material palette and a simplified form. The bank’s new headquarters was designed in response to the company’s revitalized brand identity; a sleek and minimalist black and white logo package and a refreshed commitment to sustainability. Set in a suburban location, the building aims to contrast the neighboring architecture through simplified form, a timeless material palette, and refined detailing.

The Refuge in the Countryside / Bruno Zaitter arquiteto

The Refuge in the Countryside was designed and executed by a modular metallic base of 360cm (width) X 360cm (length) X 250cm (height) with 10cm profiles. Located inside a Farm hotel, this project has three modules that together form the space for a couple to shelter from the weather without losing the privileged view of Campos Gerais do Paraná and Escarpa Devoniana.

The Rajasthan School / Sanjay Puri Architects

Imbibing the organic character of Indian villages & old cities, the Rajasthan School is a low rise 3 level school with open, enclosed and semi enclosed spaces of varying volumes. Taking cognizance of the desert climate of its location with temperatures in excess of 35°C for most of the year, each of the classrooms are north oriented to derive indirect sunlight . The auditorium , primary school and administration space occupy the southern side of the plot opening into a large sheltered open area towards the north beyond which the secondary school classrooms, library & cafeteria are located.

The privileged sea facing location was the starting point for the project of this single-family dwelling, located in a plot of land with a unique configuration and a smooth topography, with low vegetation which suddenly turns into a rocky cliff facing west to a wild beach of extraordinary beauty.

Elementary School Amos / SOA Architekti

The new school campus creates within the municipality a place with its own identity. Despite its size, the building and its entrance area are not disturbing the spatial and functional context of the place as it stands on the other end of an urban axis connecting the campus with the village square unveiling its potential to become a lively street. The community character of the building is visually supported by a public library situated in an exposed corner facing the village.
