Zhihuishu Kindergarten / Portal Architecture
Kindergartens are the basis for individual education. The space for preparatory education is the happy world for children. It is possible for children to spend their childhood in a healthy and happy way in this kind of space so that they can learn knowledge and touch the collective life from childhood. It is hoped by us that children can gain knowledge and even lay a foundation for dreams to inspire fantasy at the first stop of children’s learning.
Poly Greenland Plaza / gmp
The Poly Greenland Plaza office complex, built to a design by architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners (gmp), has been selected for the Award of Excellence of the 2020 CTBUH Awards in the Urban Habitat–District/Master Plan category, which qualifies it as a finalist in the Overall Category. The ensemble of office towers and commercial buildings forms a unique address in the city environment. A generous sequence of plazas and an open shopping arcade create diverse urban qualities that link the complex with its surroundings.

Aspiration from a recycle facility:
Possibilities and life hidden in wastes
The project started with the designer team’s visit to a large recycle facility. In the visit, classified and stacked waste materials as well as machine oil marks seen everywhere revealed a sense of loose rhythm and order. This made the facility look like a natural ecosystem, from which, the “industrial relic” roughly imagined by our designers became increasingly clear. All materials are dismantled, crushed and compressed into other shapes. In this recycle process, everything, regardless of metals, plastics or paper, gradually loses its original shape. How would these materials present themselves should a future world exist in which industrial remains are everywhere? What possibilities will they experience in the context of experimental contemporary design? With a strong curiosity, we started our design and experiment.

Accommodating to the different usage scenarios of students, teachers, and parents, the buildings in SUIS-Qingpu Campus show different spatial attitudes.

Eliel Saarinen once said that “let people see your city, and they can tell you what the residents pursue in culture .” The architecture is a cultural phenomenon and a symbol of urban culture. The art galleries at the forefront of culture magnify their spiritual significance. We try to make Hunan Art Museum stand out from the overall environment of the city, while being relatively friendly and become a symbol of regional spirit with Hunan characteristics.
The Tree House in Qiyun Mountain / Atelier Design Continuum
Background of the project
ZYJ Tree house world is located in Qiyun Moutain, Xiuning County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It is a campsite style resort villa project combing forest outdoor recreation projects. The first phase consists of 15 sets of independent villa-style rooms scattered among the pine forest hills, designed by a group of creative and influential achitechts. It is famous for its creativity, excellent quality and operation . The second phase is the iterative product for the first phase, and the owner proposed a requirement for larger space and more comfortable experience. Architects need to consider more in the room design about the use for parent-child travel, emphasizing safety, comfort and children’s fun of the room.
UAO Power Office / UAO Design
UAO moved its office from the riverside to a single small building in the Liangyou Hongfang art community in Wuhan; the predecessor of the Liangyou Hongfang art community of was the supporting factory of Wuhan meat joint factory in 1960s – bristle factory and feather factory., and the buildings in the factory are old industrial buildings with production properties. UAO is responsible for the landscape design of the plant area, as well as the core architecture: the architecture and interior design of ADC art design center.
Write Box Showroom / UAO Design
UAO has recently completed the phase Ⅱ of Optics Valley innovation world sales department; UAO is responsible for the integrated design of the project’s architecture, landscape and public indoor area. Because of the integrated design, the indoor and outdoor integration of the project is perfect. The project is located in the new development center of Optical Valley in Wuhan. There is already a steel structure sales hall (phase I) in the site. Client’s demand for phase II construction is to make a large box, which can accommodate the actual construction of 1:1 model room.
The Reception of Jiufeng Village / Rural Culture D-R-C
Jiufeng Village is located on the North-Peak Mountain (BeiFeng) of Fuzhou, surrounded by picturesque hills and streams, known as “the rear garden” of this city. It is a hot spot for Fuzhou people to spend their weekend in nature. However, the space for tourists is limited in Jiufeng Village because of its mountainous terrain. The primary problem should be solved by our design is how to use the limited space to enhance the reception capacity on weekends, in the mean time, provide an effective public space for locals on weekdays.
