UR Shanghai flagship store is located in the left of Huashi Plaza, Huaihai Road, Shanghai. In 2016, DOMANI Architectural concepts Dongcang Construction was entrusted by UR Group to renovate this store, This is the first bath of stores of UR China and it is very Important for the group. Prior to that, UR Store have been operating for five years and making good profit. Benefiting from this year’s boom in Commerce on Huaihai Road, the government also intends to turn the street into China’s first commercial street, the core section of which is the Huashi Square where UR is located.

Each city is given unique character by its history. Unfortunately in China most cities are losing their features after reconstruction and taking on almost the same image. It is imperative for urban real estate developers to retain cultural heritage of the city through balanced and appropriate design solutions. 

Site and Building
This project is located in Baoshan district, Shanghai. The project site is at a long and narrow triangular site formed by two urban roads intersecting each other at a 70-degree angle, with functions of a city exhibition center and community public facilities. At the city level, our concerns are how to effectively make the building fit to the site, form an attractive image toward the city. create a main entrance of the community, guide the traffic flow, therefore archive a multi-layer public space and vivid image of urban life.

Foreword: Recall and Expectation, Dialogue and Codependence
If the city is a mixture between new and old, then the time is moments gathering in the city corner, hidden, but pure. Separating city’s cutting section, dialogue and codependence in diverse tenses can be found. We are making great efforts in recall and expectation, looking back shows hidden impressions, and looking forward embraces a promising future at present.

“Harmony with nature” originated from an environmental ethic – non-anthropocentrism, that is, to treat the species of the entire planet equally, while anthropocentric ethics hold that only human beings have moral value. Architects focus on transforming buildings into a common home for both human being and other animals and plants: by multiplying the “vertical forest” system, building a high-density city of biodiversity.

Our client’s vision lies in promoting its global reach and creating a vibrant and collaborative work environment that fosters innovation, sparks creativity, and inspires staff.

The sun rises and time evolves. Light and curve define the scale of space when the traditional form becomes meaningless.

Design concept
Through filtering the scruples in the mind, crossing the boundary of reality and ideal, breaking inertial thinking and precipitating the power of the subconsciousness, AD ARCHITECTURE explored undiscovered “boundaries” in the XZONE Office. With the contrast of square and round elements, the ingenuous utilization of materials, colors and formations, as well as application of abstract concept, the designer created a space full of unknowns.

This project is located in the Beidou industrial technology park, west Hongqiao district, Shanghai. It is the top-floor space of the single office building. The original architectural pattern is the traditional gallery office mode; the floor height is somewhere between 5m-6m and the windows of traditional vertical bars are designed to be applied to the four surrounding walls.In addition to improving the physical properties such as lighting and ventilation, the client hopes to create an interesting office space with openness, transparency and a sense of the times and the future.

Located in Zibo city, Shandong province, the small rice vinegar museum is reconstructed and expanded on the basis of Shandong HUAWANG brewing co., LTD. (formerly known as Zibo WANGCUN brewing factory).
